I love this band!

Well I just got hold of the new Lamb of God album. After hearing 'Redneck' the track put out as a precursor to the album I had low expectations of what would unfold on Sacrament.
However, whilst this album is their most 'produced' to date, the songwriting is still very good. They still have all the hallmarks of the sound that LOG fans love, fast riffs and break downs, and the performances from the band are exeplary.
Randy does extend his vocal abilites, and the guitar playing is awesome, however it does have a much more commercial feel to it,…

I have just got in fron the Satyricon and Keep of Kalessin ggi in London. Man it was blistering, albeit too short an evening.
We arrived at 7.15 and missd the opening band, Insomnium!

Happily I didn't miss Keep of Kalessin a s I was very much anticipating their set and I was not disappointed! They were fantastic, but were on for only 5 songs!

Due to finishing work late and the ridiculous time that the first band came on stage (7.15) I missed Vreid last night (gutted) as they ruled at Wacken.However, I managed to have few words with the band which kind of made up for missing them.
Windir were a great band I never saw live, so to meet some of the remaining members was cool and they were top guys.
Insomnium were great again,I must check out some of their stuff on CD. Zyklon were on fire.. and Enslaved were blistering..
What a great night..

Satyricon and Keep of Kalessin on…

Mastodon have gone and done it again, made an absolutely brilliant album.
I loved Leviathan and didn't think they would be able to match that output, but hell they have produced another piece of outstanding modern metal.
These guys are a special talent…monsters.

Well as someone old enough to know better I managed to grab a few words and a signing with the legendary Samoth,
Emperor ScumZyklon last night. I also had a few word with the guys from Enslaved after the Arts Center gig where they did a post gig signing session. So I guess you are never to old to be a bit awe struck when you meet people who's art you have admired for a long time.
The gig was superb and I am looking forward to London on Tuesday. Hails to all the bands who played1349 Insomnium…

Particularly Narmi, who has appeared to have gone through the same trauma at some point..thanks a lot!

My PC hardrive is full and I moved all my music files to an external Hard drive for more space. I could then only play music on my itunes libruary if I first located each individual file..I have 6,000 plus songs on file! Therefore, I decided to download itunes to the external drive, but still cannot import these to my libruary..any ideas..please!

So I have had a chance to listen some more to the new SLAYER album, and it's starting to grow..Best tracks at the moment are Skeleton Christ,Catatonic, Cult and Jihad. I have a feeling the album won't really come to life for me until I see some tracks played live, as that is what Slayer are all about..roll on November.
