#5 Walking On A Dream - Empire Of The Sun

The first song i heard from this album was the title track Walking On A Dream and i wasn't too impressed with it. When i heard the next single We Are The People i could not stop listening to it for about 4 months straight. After listening to We Are The People for a while, Walking on a Dream did grow on me and i discovered new tracks such as Standing On The Shore and Without You.
#4 Tonight: Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand

Third studio album from Franz, maybe still getting into it slightly but it's not quite up to the standards of the first two. Having said that, there are some awesome tunes on this record, including Ulysses, Katherine Kiss Me and No You Girls.
#3 It's Not Me, It's You - Lily Allen

Lily Allen's first album was forgotten in it's year, so i guess i'll mention Alright Still now, because it is just as good as this one. Good follow up and the highlights are The Fear, Not Fair, 22 and last but not least Fuck You.
#2 Inshalla - Eskimo Joe

Another solid contribution from these Aussie boys. This a great album with plenty of good tracks on it, including Losing Friends Over Love, Foreign Land, Inshalla and Childhood Behaviour.
#1 Shaka Rock - Jet

Third studio album by this extremely talented Aussie band and follow up to Shine On (also forgotten in it's respective year…). And a great album to boot, featuring such awesome songs as Walk, Black Hearts (On Fire), Times Like This, She's A Genius, Goodbye Hollywood, Seventeen, La Di Da and K.I.A. (Killed In Action).
The only ones to really miss out here is The Script by The Script and Backspacer by Pearl Jam.
A shame to miss out Kate Miller-Heidke's Curiouser but i think her song The Last Day On Earth takes out track of the year.
