intriguing stuff. i know what you mean about top artists not representing what you listen to tho. for one thing, i didn't link my ipod to last.fm 'til a about a year ago. so all those plays went unnoticed. playing cds obviously doesn't get scrobbled - and that's usually the bands you actually like most, where you've a) bought the cd and b) want to listen to a whole album at once. also, some bands have released way more songs than others (i have almost 400 mountain goats songs for example), so you're clearly going to listen to them more than others, even if you don't like them more than those others. but yeah, cya next tuesday...

You are a gentleman man! I find it pretty difficult to do justice to the recordings with words. I think I know why Volcanic Tongue reviews like it does now :) Warbringer sounds alright! Fair play for having a concept and carrying it through I guess. Like Arnocorps are a great band but the songs probably aren't the best bit about them. Good news about Ducktails, I just hope it isn't around an exam up here. Great band/thing. I haven't heard an awful lot of Scratch but I just like the mood/atmosphere of the Augustus Pablo stuff. Keith Hudson is fairly similar and pretty cool too. That's about all I know of dub, I just picked the artists I liked best from this one comp http://www.boomkat.com/item.cfm?id=48850. Basically all of it is good though.
