Oh. It has a story if you watch it all.

I haven't finished it but I've been slowly going through it. I'm not much into idol anime but the characters are cute and the stories in each episode are somewhat heartwarming. I think you'd like it.

You didn't see the story in it? It's not massive or something but it's there.

Oh, I see what you mean. Instead of exploring a whole region it's more just around the area. But at least the experience must be more immense on the consoles than handhelds making the experience richer and less like a "mobile game". There's a little more to explore and the areas are more detailed and beautiful (and not to mention in 3D, giving the exploration more depth). Agh, I was afraid of that. As much as I enjoy some video games I really do suck at them for the most part. I might have to trail away from the Persona series then. I remember everyone talking about how The World Ends with You was amazing. I tried and... well, I couldn't get anywhere. It was way to hard to even finish the tutorial (though in my defense it's almost a strategic rhythm game, and I suck at rhythm games... *sigh* I'll never be able to play Project Diva...).

Well, non-animated shows often have storylines. They always have to either cleanly wrap things up or build suspense at the end of the season. When it comes to anime there are more short shows on the schedule than long running ones so instead of having to be wary of cancellation like in the west they just put out many shows rather than constant contiuations. No, OreImo is not eroge. OreImo is about people that enjoy the culture around anime, manga and video games, which includes eroge (erotic games). OreImo is a harem show. While were on that subject I absolutely would not hint that OreImo is in any way the incest version of Toradora!, which despite the main character having a few "options" is more a romance show than a harem. THE EPIC BATTLE OF EYEBROWS, WHO'LL WIN?

Ahh, I'm sorry. I just had to pick some similar shows to compare K-ON! too, which would of course be SoL or moe shows. There isn't really anything close on your list that I can use. The closest would be Mangirl! or OreImo, but they aren't close enough though. Whaa, I find Mugi adorbs. She's like a pioneer for diverse eyebrows in anime and manga, haha. Well, wouldn't exploring be a journey. Yeah, but the thing is that that's what's heavily lacking from Atelier Annie, the exciting exploration. To me it feels more like a FarmVille than an RPG game, haha. The core of an RPG game is not just to do quests and missions for people, but to get to explore cool places while looking for the things you need. Are the Persona games very hard? I've found them interesting for a while but never took the chance in trying to purchase one.

Anime seasons are in more of a gray area. There are many definitions for an anime season, fx. each season lasting one season (around 12 episodes) or a new season just being a sequel (like Kuroko no Basuke 2nd Season, which is by the other definition the 3rd and 4th). Long running shows also blur the line even more, like Naruto and Bleach. The thing with western series and anime series though is that anime is usually wrapped up by the end of the series, however long it is (as well as most shows being 1 or 2 cour shows, so they aren't long either) while western shows usually endlessly continue until they're cancelled or retired. Even anime based on manga or visual novels has an alternative filler ending to the original source material to "close the show", but also to have the option of making another season.
