I love the quotations you've got on your page.

How can the good within us bring us together when the bad is so busy driving us apart? We all can learn so much from each other if we will see with our mind and listen with our heart --and speak with both. JTMc

I thought I'd recommend you this track called Run by Air also. It's rather wacky with some Enya-like parts.

I have for a while now. I like it. Not sure if I'd call it "poignant" but more of a depressing, bleak game (in a good way). I like the soundtrack, although it took a while to put out a proper release of it. Have to be in the right mood for it, since it's very ambient-ish. Lately I'm playing Uncharted 2.

Oh and I re-watched Lost In Translation recently (been more than 5 years) and loved the song. Can't believe I didn't notice it first time round. It was also played in this advert recently.

Wow it looks as if you just did the Bourne Trilogy like I did yesterday. Get some rest Anthony, you look tired.

Hey Anthony, Merry Christmas (do you "do" Christmas) late (ha, it's already the next day there, isn't it?), Happy New Year, how are you, semester break time? Thank you for all of the good recommendations in 2011...*cyber hug*

Well, if you say you're an agnostic, you're definitely not an Atheïst. (according to my diehard Atheïst friend :p) You're actually not denying the the existence of a god. Maybe it will grow on me, like cancer... only less deadly and stuff... :p I'll give it another chance. But I've found two new bands who I like, so it'll take a lot of time for AFF to grow on me. The bands are called Holy Miranda and Jinja Safari ^^ Actually, you might know Jinja Safari, they're Australian :-) Soooooo, I can't leave you with just this load of crap I left :p I should ask a significant question. But not something like: Hi, how r u? I HATE that question... So I'll ask you something else: How do you feel? Generally; are you happy, lonely, in love...? Cheerio!

Hi Anthony ^^ Well, my parents derived it from different things: They once heard the name Althea and they just left out the 'L' + my father really liked it that way because I looked like Atheïst. And since he's an extreme non-believer... so I was raised an Atheïst :p I don't know its meaning though... :s A Fine Frenzy is okay. They're a bit normal for me. ^^

Ok here I go... So hi! That was one hell of a comment you left XD But I couldn't reply until I listened to the songs you recommended me ^^ And I did... If I didn't know better, I'd think you've known me for all of my life ^^ AMAAAAAZING! You're ME XD (when it comes to music) So Hi, name's Athea, nice to meet you ^^

I made a journal and bolded your recommendations. This might make it easier for us, haha. Happy Saturday (or is it already Sunday, there?). I see you've had fun bouncing up down all around with Einaudi's Melodia Africana I, II, and III. Interessante. :D

Hi Anthony, I hope your studies are going well. I'm copying all of your messages into a word doc so I can keep track of your recommendations. I haven't see the Kill Bill movies but I have listened and I do like Nancy Sinatra's "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)." I just located "Goodnight Moon" so I'll listen to that as soon as this album which is lulling me into la-la land (Corduroy Road by Goldmund) finishes. Have a great weekend! : )

Hi Anthony, how are things going? What kind of classes are you taking? I will probably raid your library for artists who begin with C...I didn't finish B but I needed to move on. :D

I listened some tracks from: "Life of a ghost" and "Sweep of days" and must say thanks again, it's good music, I like especially (for this moment) "Stuck in a hard place", "Talk to me", but I have no doubt that I'll find more in these albums and others, I need time ;) Ok, maybe it's bad said, that it's hard to find something good, because it's hard to find really really REALLY beautiful, catching etc. music :P I'm very choosy, ok sometimes even more than crotchety :P Of course if it's about music :P Thank you for next recommendations :) I will listen soon. I know Cat Power, but another songs, and Iike the most The Greatest and Werewolf, but I planned listening something other from her music ;)

Thanks :) You have so many interesting musicians and bands on your charts, that I will take them from this place above to my player ;) It's so hard to find something good. Thank you for Blue Foundation, I will listen them and tell you later, whether I like their music :) Absorbing collection of quotations :)

Cheers for the recommendations! My stats got a bit skewed when I left F&TM on repeat on my htpc while I was on holidays (I do like them, maybe not 20x more than anything else in my catalog though :P )

Hey, Anthony. This album by Non is kind of teasing, stimulating. "Children of the Black Sun." Every so often I dislike music with vocals (omg, the vocals ruin this!!) but usually as soon as I type the thought, I'm falling in love with someone's voice. God knows why I have more than one account. I think I'm "odd." :D

Om mig

in twilights unknown

The swallow flutters in the water on the drumhead. Soon it rises and circles out onto the sky, then skims back again, hanging in the air one moment before settling on a crossbar of the shrouds. It preens its breast and settles close, riding south into the wind.
~ Far Tortuga (Peter Mathiessen)

I'll tell you a secret, something they don't teach you in your temple. The gods envy us. They envy us because we're mortal, because any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we're doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now, and we will never be here again.
~Achilles (Troy)

I see men assassinated around me every day. I walk through rooms of the dead, streets of the dead, cities of the dead; men without eyes, men without voices; men with manufactured feelings and standard reactions; men with newspaper brains, television souls and high school ideas.
~Charles Bukowski

MAN, n. An animal so lost in rapturous contemplation of what he thinks he is as to overlook what he indubitably ought to be. His chief occupation is extermination of other animals and his own species, which, however, multiplies with such insistent rapidity as to infest the whole habitable earth
~Ambrose Bierce

Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give the appearance of solidity to pure wind
~George Orwell

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.
~Douglas Adams

Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness, gaiety and life to everything. It is the essence of order, and leads to all that is good, just, and beautiful, of which it is the invisible, but never less, dazzling, passionate, and eternal form.
~Plato

I think the big mistake in schools is trying to teach children anything, and by using fear as the basic motivation. Fear of getting failing grades, fear of not staying with your class, etc. Interest can produce learning on a scale compared to fear as a nuclear explosion to a firecracker.
~Stanley Kubrick

The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who do nothing about it
~Albert Einstien

What happened? How'd I get here? The pain... was so unexpected and so undeserved yet for some reason cleared away the cobwebs. I realised I didn't hate the cabinet door, I hated my life, my house, my family, my backyard, my POWER MOWER. Nothing would ever change. Nothing new could ever be expected. It had to end. And it did. Now in the dark world where I twirl, ugly things and surprising things and sometimes little wondrous things spill out and make constant harmony... and I can count on nothing.
~A Scanner Darkly

There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportion.
~Francis Bacon

The ancient is lost in a shadow world, and gives no sign.
~ The snow leopard by Peter Matthiessen

Oh come, and we will celebrate the things that make us real,
The things that break us open, and the things that make us feel
Like these accidental meetings up and partings of the way

~Emma-Lee Moss / Emmy the Great

All too often arrogance accompanies strength, and we must never assume that justice is on the side of the strong. The use of power must always be accompanied by moral choice.
~Theodore Bikel

What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare?
~W. H. Davies

People never notice anything.
~J.D. Salinger

Undone, a shot unheard
to the depths of my golden sun
Quiet now, oh, we must not tell
a single soul about this tale

~Yes Alexander / Blue Sky Black Death

The crumbs are gone and the way, and the way is lost
Melancholy phantoms eye our skins
and poisoned apples falling with the wind
Hear the sigh of the trees
Those who enter here never leave
And the rangers stream out of their cabins
they are the hunters, we are the rabbits
and maybe we don't want to be found
maybe we don't want to be found

~A Fine Frenzy

Sir, more than kisses, letters mingle souls; for, thus friends absent speak.
~ John Donne

now the railroad’s ending
cracked iron beneath the power line...
...swept away
now the birds run these grounds
the trampoline in the quiet mansion...
...no one here
but the fir trees remember
the cold chime of the chandeliers

~Fredrik (White on White)

Only when the last tree has died,
the last river has been poisoned
and the last fish has been caught
will we realize
that we cannot eat money.

~Cree Indian Proverb

Trees are poems the earth writes upon the sky.
We fell them down and turn them into paper,
that we may record our emptiness.

~Kahlil Gibran

If you don't know where you're going, any path will take you there.
~Unknown
