She probably doesn't remember it. She just stared at us though, I have no idea what she was thinking but I'm sure it wasn't anything good. I bought a cd after cause I felt so bad and I'm pretty sure that's the last cd I bought, actually. I will say that she was fucking unbelievable live, it was totally worth it. One of the most beautiful shows I've ever been to. And I mean she's from Portland so I'm sure you'll have a chance to see her at some point!

I just downloaded it. I'd forgotten how everything by her is amazing. It's stuff from the Dragging a Dead Deer era right? My friend used to give me a lot of shit for liking her, but now she's obsessed with her so I don't know why I ever took it to heart. I have to tell you the story of how she hates me though, cause I always tell everyone any time the subject comes up. I saw her on my birthday a few years ago with Tiny Vipers and while she was tuning her guitar my drunk friend announced it to the whole crowd. I think the silence made her uncomfortable obviously. It was quite the spectacle. Later she was walking up the stairs while we were coming back down and when she saw us she put her head down (this would be an appropriate time for a shoegaze joke) and ran up as fast as she could. I was mortified cause this was when I was full on obsessed with her music. Everyone assures me she doesn't remember it but I still insist that she hates me

Ooooooooooooooooooh, chiiiiiiiild! I want a doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well. You've got me turning up and turning down, I'm turning in, I'm turning 'round. You're turning Japanese, I think you're turning Japanese-- I really think so. That's all.

Mmm. Bach goes great with essays and when under pressure. You know, 'cause: ♪ ♪ Fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly, I gotta love one man 'til I die. Can't help loving that man of mine. ♪ ♪

To be completely honest I pretty much loathed school from the second I started preschool, hahaha. But what's a few more years of college when you're studying to stay in school for the rest of your life, huh? I'm glad you see it that way because I think teachers are incredibly important too. My mom kinda instilled that in me at an early age, though I bet she'd be surprised to hear that. Most of the ones I've had made an impact on me, be it negative or positive...

She's a kindergarten teacher actually so probably completely different from what you're envisioning... She loves it, she's been doing it my whole life basically. It's obviously really fulfilling for her, as it seems like there's pretty tough competition out there in terms of new younger teachers being the preferred choice. She's also had a tendency to treat me and my sister like we're her kindergarten students for our whole lives as well though. You'd probably be teaching college english or something along those lines right?

I like to think miserable experiences help us grow as people, or something. It's definitely more important to study something you love, especially in this economy. My mother is a teacher actually.

The only thing I've seen by the lumiere brothers is that train movie. Tarkovsky was talking about it in Sculpting in Time so I looked it up. That's actually all pretty interesting to me, especially the stuff about Paris morgues. And to be completely honest I've never seen Citizen Kane but I'm probably more of a Singing in the Rain person anyway

Yeah I live right downtown actually. It's warmer here by the water so it's just freezing cold but we never get any snow. Just torrential rain and insanely powerful wind. You're lucky you were here in the summer because it's way nicer then. I really don't have the right brain for any of that sort of thing either. I was good with english too but I've always really only been really interested in the sorts of things there's nothing you could make a career out of, honestly. And that really fucking sucks to hear that you had cancer, but it's great to hear that things are getting better for you. I had some shitty stuff going on with me mentally and physically this past year as well, I mean obviously nothing as awful as what you went through I'd imagine, but it really did make a big impact on my life and I am just starting to get everything figured out too. It is definitely a slow process.

And I've actually been feeling pretty sick for the past couple weeks, so I haven't been too busy, but I've kind of been enjoying it honestly. The weather here has been terrible so I don't really mind staying home and listening to music and watching movies all day. I've been feeling better lately though and managed to have some fun last weekend.

Well I can kind of relate because I've been on a break from school since I graduated from high school so I'm sure it'll be pretty hard to adjust when I finally go back now. What are you studying? You should totally watch this if you haven't seen it because it's a great introduction to her and her art: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRZR3nsiIeA

I know right? It's all too rare to find fans of both Nirvana and Hole. And most people's hatred for Love is based on trivial shit, false accusations and conspiracy theories. I mean it's almost 2013, when will you twats realize that she didn't kill Kurt? They should focus on her music, and lyrics. And she rocks in both aspects. I would like for her legacy to be saved by the coming generations, but I'm not sure about that. Too many people will always vilify her. She said herself in an interview that most people saw her as the town bitch, and the town slut, and that years later someone's gonna say, oh no she wasn't. I really hope that happens

I had gotten into Court's music earlier this year. Out of curiosity I wandered over to Hole's Doll Parts video on YouTube, after watching some Nirvana videos. I fell in love immediately. :D There's no one else quite like her.
