Believe Again Tour

Mon 26 Jan – Delta Goodrem

OMG! The Delta concert was just amazing, and what an experience. I am so glad to have went.

Act 1 had four songs, including "Believe Again", "Innocent Eyes", "In This Life" and "I Can't Break It to My Heart"

Wow, I love how the stage opened, first you saw her band, and "Believe Again" played, Delta had this dress that you could see reflections on the screen that moved with the background picture of the Believe Again video. I LOVE how powerful her voice projects. She immediately sang "Innocent Eyes" after, and playing the piano as well. In the middle of the song, she stopped singing and just played the piano, and started playing the cute tune, and going back to singing. That was so clever!

Then, she got us to stand up and sing the National Australian Anthem together because it's Australian day, and whoa, it feels like primary school again, we used to have to stand and sing this every week. She also kept saying "Love you too" and "I love you MORE" to the audience when people shouted out "I love you DELTA!"

One of the songs Delta mentioned that she didn't like to sing, but they did a remake of the tune, it was "Out of the Blue", she really changed the tune to that heaps and I thought it sounded really beautiful!

She ended this act with "In this life" saying that this is where she is with her life right now. It was so great, especially hearing the piano to this song. The last song she did in this act was "I can't break it to my heart", it sounded really beautiful! I just love that song.

Act 2 had songs including "Not Me, Not I", "Out of the Blue", "Brave Face", "Mistaken Identity" and "You Will Only Break My Heart" with excerpts of "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson.

After Delta came out again, she had a black dress, and sang "Not Me, Not I", then she told us there was a song that was very revealing in MI and she never liked that song, but they did some remake of it and now she was very happy to sing it, that was called "Out of the Blue".

When "Brave Face" was playing, Delta went off stage and started to say hi and hug a row of audience, I thought it was just so absolutely amazing, and some even were able to take photos with her, I just LOVE how she gets so involved with the audience. "You will only break my heart". She got us to stand up and dance to the last song.

Delta introduced her band, she kept saying how Richard had imaginary friends and texting himself LOL! She gave him this dolphin that was representing how it was doing a funny dance at Seaworld.

Act 3 had "Born to Try", "Butterfly", "That's Freedom", a John Farnham cover and "Running Away".

After that was a short break, Delta came back playing the guitar to "Born to Try", which is the first time I've heard a guitar version of this song! Soon after inviting 10 people on stage, talking about imitations.

While those people were on stage, they talked about imitating and Delta tried to imitate Shakira, and doing that dance move, and the funny part was, two people were behind her while she did that dance, and when she realised, she was saying "I am sooo sorry!!", apologising for what they had to see, and then, the guy says "It was okay". Delta goes, "What? It was just… okay? My butt was okay? Not great, just okay?!" ROFLMAO! That was so hilarious.

She then sang them "Butterfly" for them, and soon she did "That's Freedom", a song by John Farnham and "Running Away". During that, the people on stage danced.

Act 4, the last one had "Queen of the Night", a Whitney Houston cover, "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) a Eurythmics cover, "Predictable", "Do You Love Me", The Contours cover and "Almost Here with Brian McFadden, and "Together We Are One" with excerpts from "One Day".

While Delta sang "Queen of the Night" and "Sweet Dreams", there were some cool fashion pictures showing in the background. "Sweet Dreams" then changed into Predictable, it's clever how two songs can be made to feel like it's one song.

Soon, Brian came on again and they did "Do you love me", and they did this dance. They just had this sweet and loving but almost like an old married couple having this joking quarrel on stage, Brian was saying how he wanted the audience to be quiet so he could sing, and Delta was saying he Brian was the one talking too much, haha! They were mucking around for a while before they sang "Almost Here". Also, a guy in the audience shouted out, "I love you Brian", and Brian goes "I love you too!" Delta was like…. "OOOO he loves you!" hahaha! They really did so well singing "Almost Here".

After that, Delta said that her last song was a song she wrote for an event, it was, "Together we are One", it was beautiful! She switched between that song and "One day" during the choruses!

The encore included "Lost Without You" and a reprise of "Believe Again".

While the music playing to "Believe Again" while she bowed, and there were some beautiful words written on the video screen, including: Believe, compassion, life, love, understanding, faith, visualise, protect, born to try, light. I just love this concert. Delta is a really amazing performer.
