A slight Sonic Youth binge:
Rather Ripped - a solid album by one of my favorites. I don't know if anything will ever live up to Daydream Nation or Goo but that's is probably because i was listening to those in college, and nothing sounds as good.

Psychic Hearts - Haven't given this one much of a listen, but from what i did hear, i like it.

Live At The Palace - I am going to listen to this right now actually, though i expect nothing less than a great performance by Shannon and the rest. I still get depressed…

New Wind - I usually try to download anything Kevin Seconds does, but he's done better than this. It's listenable though.

Impeach My Bush - I originally wasn't going to bother with this one, but I saw her on the Henry Rollins show and she was much more intelligent and interesting than her first two albums made her sound so I decided to give it a go. A couple of the tracks are pretty good, the rest need some time to grown on me.

So I watched "The Devil's Rejects" last night, there is something appealing about those Rob Zombie movies, and I mean something more than just his wife.

Anyway, he used a bunch of classic rock songs on the soundtrack and it reminded me how much i like some of those tunes and that i haven't listed to any of it in a while. So to remedy that, i created a playlist with some tunes that take me back.

Being a big fan of music, music being one of my few obsessions, one thing that really annoys me is when I want to buy a cd and can't because it just isn't available.

I used to have a tape of this album called "The Men" by a band call, interestingly enough the "Men". Try doing that google search and finding something useful. It was over a decade ago, and that tape has since been lost/stolen/destroyed/thrown away.
