And for me, this time was Wednesday the 13th of June, at 6:28am GMT. That's the time when my first child was born and it was a strapping lad, 3.6kg (8 lbs) in weight and 52cm (Around 20 inches) in length.

To celebrate his birth, I've started listening again to some of my old favourites, bands like Michael Schenker Group, Accept, Thin Lizzy, Megadeth and loads more. It reminds me of the days gone by, when I was so thirsty for hearing from new artists, that anything would get my attention. Some bands may even be forgotten by now. For example, how many people have heard of bands like Destruction, Armored Saint, Toxik or Possessed?

Unfortunately I don't have all of their songs in digital form, so it's back to the vinyl for me, but it's still worth it, because those are great memories indeed. Some of the bands were quite good, others not so good, but still influential. I reckon I'll be set to listen to some of the children's stuff that my girlfriend packs here somewhere, but that's alright, because my little boy is worth every second of it.

I hope you don't mind my adding this to your group, because the birth of a new baby is always such a wondrous occasion. I will also understand it if you decide not to accept it, because it's your right to do so.

Thanks to anyone who found the need to read this, I just had to get it off my chest.
