Next Monday, I am going to interview a visiting Fulbright Scholar for the school newspaper. I need questions! Please don't suggest anything that would make me sound stupid or get me axed by the Saudi royal family. I already have some softball questions, but I need you people to help me think of the good stuff.
Plans:
Dr. Mishal F. Al-Sulami will be spending a week around Immaculata. He will be lecturing my Middle Eastern History and Politics class, speaking in the Gabriele Library on his book, and joining us for Liturgy this coming Sunday.
Lecture in the Library:
Dr. Mishal F. al-Sulami
assistant professor, Islamic Studies Department
King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia
Presentation: "Is the U.S. ready to accept the outcome of democracy in the Arab world?"
Book: The West and Islam: Western Liberal Democracy Versus the System of Shura
Interesting Tidbits:
He studied in Saudi Arabia for his Bachelor's degree.
He has a doctorate in Poli-Sci from Exeter (UK)
He was/is in charge of a lot of stuff.
He has a son.
Okay, you think you're so smart? What would you ask a Saudi Fulbright Scholar?
