I also really want to live in Japan to attend all those great events, watching Boris opening for the Melvins is really a wet dream for me, how was it?

Man, I didn't get to see Boris! They only played in Tokyo. I was pretty sad since I have been meaning to check them off the "seen live" list. If you ever move over here, Tokyo/Yokohama is the place to make those dreams come true! (Osaka & Kobe are close, though!)

Ahhh that´s mean!, It will be awesome to watch them playing together a "boris" encore or something like that. I´m planning a trip to visit, but sadly it´s not 100 % sure yet, but I really hope that I can make it. I´ve always love the contry, the culture and the good music over there

That's a new one for me. I could only find a few Youtube vids, but I like what I heard. They were on that S-S label from way back when (they put out Nothing People and I think Mayyors). I wish he'd put together a bandcamp or youtube page...

It's hard to recommend you stuff like that. Every time I'm like "Smirnon would probably like this" and I head over to their last.fm page to grab the URL, you've got the top comment.

What's up good buddy. T. Swift was nothing short of a revelation - a necessary step to unlocking Otsukaretimu 2.0 . As for Dogstar, I'm just going in hopes that I can get Keanu to sign my Rivers Edge DVD.

Hey Stu! Have you heard Human Impact or 16's new one? How about the new albums from Curren$y and Smoke DZA? Weak Signal is a great band to check out as well. Also, I have been pretty keen on Carla Dal Forno and the new one from Kelly Lee Owens. Maybe one more, from last year though - FIXED from Japan. Their album DEAR is a gem.

Heyyyy Stu, listen to Altin Gün, Mike Polizze, Little Simz, Spectral Wound, Dove (the sludge band), Dr. Pete Larson, and Fiddlehead if you haven't already. Also check out the wonderful worlds of Charlie Megira and Yuzo Iwata respectively.

Hey! I see we have similar taste in death metal, I think you might enjoy my band Creeping Flesh, old school death metal from Gothenburg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8kjPc5yLbE https://www.facebook.com/creepingflesh/ Check it out and let me know what you think. :) Cheers!

Sounds like you might possibly have some decades on me haha. Well I mean I would guess punk and grindcore only makes up for like 15-20% of my taste, Weirdly there's barely any punk or gindcore in my top artists

Ah that sucks, what are you studying? Im doing a foundation year in Art and then I plan to go onto Uni next September - so some of my friends have started uni this year and one of them isn't coping well without a constant supply of music haha. But yeah I agree its a really dynamic album which is impressive for a grindcore album.

I love that Roedelius album! He's great solo and with Cluster. I think I might have my second list basically put together, I just need to do some writing. Been so busy at work lately that I'm slow >_<

Heres a zip DL link for Crossed Out's discog - http://cutnpasteyoface.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/crossed-out.html The New Wormrot is incredible, I have heard some people shit on it for either being Gridlink worship or taking too much influence off Converge type stuff, but honestly I love the new sound, its subtle, like its not a huge change and I find they balance this new slight melody with the roots of their speedy grindcore. What do you think of it? Its nice finding someone who listens to punk and grindcore but also other stuff on here, I usually find people either listen to just punk and gridncore or they dont listen to it at all which is a shame.

Thank you! Glad to hear someone else loves Rubycon so much. And yeah... I definitely missed some things. I wanted to be concise, which unfortunately meant that I cut some real gems - I regret cutting Biosphere - Substrata most, an album I've even written about on the site! However, I'm making a second list of "More essential ambient albums" or something, since I already had a handful of leftovers and so many people have shared their suggestions. I think Popol Vuh has a place, as do Harold Budd, Gas, and several others. Anyway, that's awesome you got into Detroit Escalator Co! He's one of the unsung heroes of techno, and I love both of his albums so much that I put a track from each into my last two mixtapes (on the site if you're interested, one is more techno focused, the other more ambient/kosmische)

Yep, a loyal scrobbler to the end it seems. However, the fact that I can't see who visits my page anymore, and the elimination of the user made widgets in my right side bar are real buzzkills. Not to mention the fact that Last.FM basically released the new site entirely unfinished. I really wonder what the logic behind it all was...

Arigato, my new friend. I listen to death metal most of the time, but my love for extreme music was developed after thrash in the early 90s... good times. Cheers from Brazil!

Hey, thanks! How is Japan? We seem to have a very good compatibility. and I am not sure about the bands you wouldn't know, so I would recommend Valley of the Sun, Sons of Huns and Old Man's Will (and all the bands produced by RidingEasy Records), Isaak, Ape Machine, Sonora Ritual, Glowsun and Blaak Heat Shujaa. Okay, I am gonna stop here 'cos it can goes on and on for hours; there is so much good stoner stuff! Anyway, hope you enjoy your listening. Greetings from Tunisia :)
