jason molina(love it or not, the nicest guy in lo-fi has a range and delivery unmatched)

lofi country/western, folk,

the good of everyone.

anything lungfish writes is baffling.

much as you do? planes mistaken for stars or

hot water music (the folks involved in these
bands have greatly contributed
to the overall wellbeing of my life; i'm simply
better people because of them. then again, i
want them all to my special self and refuse to
share. so piss off, ha.)

check out the sonic youth dvd, corporate ghost

don't know too many all-girl bands…
i mean there's tons of amazing ladies
in some of the best bands in the world,
but i don't know too many entirely
consisting of females.

no opinion, i have no awareness of what the term entails.

35. Last BIG band that you saw live?
by BIG i think inaccessible as people, and i rarely feel that way.
i saw the original lineup of dinosaur jr. last summer at the majestic
and i just don't see myself warming up to j, lou, or murph. well,
maybe lou, he seems cool as shit. obviously sebadoh doesn't hurt.

36. Are you a groupie?
laaaaaaaaaaaame, i don't think they exist on our level.

37. Do you listen to music in foreign languages?
sure, sigur ros at least.

38. What famous musician would you like to f***!?
to be honest, not to be p.c., but this question is
offensive.

39. Worst concert moment?
there was that time i trashed on dillenger escape plan to
their new singer (such a bro), without knowing who he was.
i guess if i didn't mean it i would've been embarrased.

40. Funny concert moment?
planes mistaken for stars, two years ago in toledo @ a
shitty masonic temple…mostly underage kids and small
numbers, gared made everyone get on stage and the band,
upset with the set's response, proceeded to get naked
and mimic relations at various times with males in the
audience. unbeknownst to planes, many parents had already
arrived to pick up their children…most of whom were girls
and, mortified, had never seen a dong before.

41. Saddest concert moment?
small brown bike's last show in detroit: when a big man
like trav breaks down during his own band's last set, after
ten years of being the BEST BAND IN MICHIGAN, i'd like to
see you keep from shedding a tear. i know i couldn't.

42. Best local act you can think of?
probably gonna have to go with the amino acids, check em out.

pedal steel guitar, no doubt.

44. Do you listen to the radio?
used to listen to npr a lot, now just college radio in marquette.
lots of folks up north have public radio in the background.

45. Do you watch music TV?
haha, no.

46. Do you follow the music charts, like the top 40?
sometimes if i'm at the radio station, i'll check out CMJ to see
which band i've listened to for years is finally blowing up.

47. Have you ever met any famous musicians?
i guess it depends on what famous means to ya.

48. Are any of your friends/family/etc. musicians?
most the folks i grew up with and most everyone i call friends now. no one in my family though, most of them are writers.
