You might have noticed a big gap between the last journal and this one… There are a few reasons for this.

Unfortunately the scrobbler became increasingly unreliable (I refuse to use iTunes) and then stopped working completely a few years back. Anyone who's been on the site for a while will also know about many changes made for the worse on the site and that it got a lot quieter than it used to be because of people leaving as a result. I found a lot of amazing music (and people!) here in the past, and also got a lot of support on here for my music project, but the site wasn't the same any more and it was just too much effort to keep the scobbler working… However today, for whatever reason, I decided to try again and it seems to be working! I used to love last.fm - it remains an amazing concept, and for that reason alone I'm going to give it another chance.

If you're interested, since I was last on this site regularly, I've released an album and an EP through Sun Sea Sky Productions as electronic artist Northcape…
