I'm in need of some doom metal. Anyone got any recommendations? I've got a bit of doom metal, most famous being Candlemass, Reverend Bizarre, a bit of Witchfinder General, quite a lot Black Sabbath (Yes, I call black sabbath doom), but it's not enough.
I've also tried a bit of My dying bride and other death doom, and it wasn't too bad, but I still prefer the bands with clean vocals.

So what I'm actually looking for would probably be something similar to the first bands I mentioned, and then preferrably with similar vocals to the two…

Well, my brother liked Green Day some years ago, and as I remember it, I hated them then. I still do. I can't even be bothered writing a review of each song, 'cause they're bloody similar anyway.

Anyway, I had the misfortune of aquiring the songs American idiot, Boulevard of broken dreams, holiday, jesus of suburbia and wake me up when september ends.

The first thing which strikes me when listening to these songs, is, as I mentioned earlier, the complete lack of difference between the songs. Now, some of you may feel inclined to say something along the lines…

So… Today's album is The Clash's London Calling. I won't bother introducing the band, if you really take an interest, they've got a site here.

This album was released in late 1979, and consists of 19 tracks, varying in length from about 1:50 on Koka kola to about 5:35 on Revolution rock.

This review will be slightly different from last week's Weezer review, considering I can't really write all that much about each song. Anyhow, here comes.
