I recently purchased a new pair of headphones. At $80.00 they were a significant step up from my $5.00 pair of headphones. Most importantly I noticed that there was no longer a weird harmonic in the middle of the songs. The music was beautiful again.

A strange side-effect of these headphones is that my musical taste is alot wider. I happened to visit a friend's myspace page that featured some hip-hop and rather than flee the scene the moment I heard the first gangsterly beat, I stuck around to listen. We all have our personal peeves when it comes to music. If I were to list three bands that I absolutely detest they would probably be Nickleback, Simple Plan, and lets say… Fall Out Boy.

But I'm a nice guy. I don't like to hate. Hate makes me sick. So in the spirit of forgiveness, love, and lets say… truthiness I intend to not hulk all out every time I here a particular song that I happen to hate with all my being.

I have to say, nothing gets me pumped up like a good surf track. The first time I heardMiserlou I thought, "Man this is it!". All that wet reverb is like a shot of adrenaline.

I do recognize that some people find surf music to be repetitive but if you give it a chance you just might find a whole lot to love.

I don't know what else to say about it but I'll just list a few killer tracks that never get old for me.
