Alas, Frequency time once again, although I thought I wouldn't go again a while ago. But the new location in St. Pölten is actually better than Salzburg used to be and all went remarkably well. So on we go...
The day started with the furious The Cribs.

Starring Johnny Marr (from The Smiths fame):

After that we moved on to the second stage, where Mumford & Sons played their first Austrian gig. Mumford & Sons were my surprise of the day and thanks to fm4 airplay the crowd was full of people cheering and singing along... "Roll away your stone..."
(Setlist)

Immediately after them our second most expected band - The Gaslight Anthem... with a short taste of what is to come to the Arena in November. To our surprise many people were leaving the stage after M&S, so that we had a good spot in front. What a pity they didn't play Bring It On and Here's Looking At You Kid.
(Setlist)

Then a little break with bits of White Lies, Gogol Bordello, Bad Religion and Skunk Anansie before Marina & the Diamonds came on at the indoor stage.
A nice, entertaining set containing her entire debut album, although I think that the band would do better with a bit of Marina's glamour.
(Setlist)

Then over to the main stage for a completely out of place NOFX (why not at the Green Stage with Bad Religion?) to watch the megalomaniac madness that's Muse.
(Setlist)
