  • M.I.A. isn't all that...

    Well just got through listening to about 5 M.I.A. tracks and I can see exactly why people are bigging it up but I can't help but feel that its a bit of emporers new clothes. I guess everyone's excited cuase it sounds different but I can't get into it, no beat, tune, bass riff or real interesting subject matter.

    Nevermind we can't all love everything!M.I.A.

  • Gad damn it Prince is good

    Just commiting a cardinal sin and listening to a greatest hits collection. Only thing that slightly lets me off the hook is that it is Prince, the genre defying musical genius. I've just been taken form the uplift of Raspberry Berret, into the zeitgeist capturing Sign of the Times into the swinging groove of I Wanna be Ur Lover. He can do it all, rock out, funk, swoon, write a lyric that's like no other, sing like a bird, and play anything he touches.

    Well, he's a good musician to kick off my journal that's for sure.Prince
