Evening. How's it going. Hey, I noticed that you're going to Agnes Obel come April 19. I'm considering going (since I'll be "nearby" by then), but I heard somewhere that the tickets could/would be sold out. Could... you help me clarify this issue? I've got no idea. I'm still unsure between this presentation and the Paris presentation. [This IS, a copy-paste shout. I'm sending this to everyone who's going and has 'Super' compatibility with me. Hope none of you minds. Have a good day! ]

I had a strange feeling that it would be you added to the attendance list for 'A Scream and an Outrage' after I added it this morning ;-) Are you going to all 6 sessions? Another marathon weekend at the Barbican beckons for me!

Okay I think I'll buy that ticket from you if it's still available. b121 is actually the 3rd seat along but it still looks better than mine!

Hey, I haven't seen it yet. Here is my seat at Salle Pleyel: http://i.imgur.com/51e8l.png I'm not sure if it's a bad seat or not since I don't know what the venue is like, but it cost 49,50 euros. Could you show me where the seat for your spare ticket is? I'd hate to go all the way to Paris for this show and not be able to enjoy the concert :)

Hi, saw you've seen Sharon Van Etten before, just a heads up that she's back in London next month: http://www.last.fm/event/3199896

I meant to ask what your recording was like, does it sound any better played through proper speakers?

Listening to the bootleg from the Amsterdam show, the sound quality's unbelievable but Mars / The Sun are cut in the wrong place which I find more distressing than I really should (coming from the person who still has For The Widows in Paradise, For the Fathers in Ypsilanti scrobbled as For The Windows in Paradise)

Ah thanks so much for the thought! My brother and I actually managed to buy a face value pair from a kind last fm gentleman. Looking at the Barbican website I see that individual tickets are available for the other Arvo Part performances at St. Giles. Are you considering going to those or are you just going to stick with the 8pm one?

Good luck on both counts, there is at least another Gravenhurst (full band) show at The Lexington in May to fall back on if not. If you're looking for free live music have you ever been to any of the Daylight Music events at the Union Chapel? http://www.facebook.com/#!/daylightmusicpage?sk=events - I help out with the online promo (though this is not intended to be a shameless plug!)

Hi...you're not wrong, the Barbican is certainly getting a fair chunk of money from both of us this year!! Are you doing the full Arvo Part experience? Really looking forward to the Gravenhurst/Neil Halstead gig at St Pancras too, not been there before and when I saw them both play at St Giles-in-the-Fields a couple of years back it was magical.

Yep I've just got tickets for the evening performance too but might keep an eye out for cancellations nearer the time. I think you've taught me a new word too, looked it up on urban dictionary and "brassic" is london talk for not having enough money it seems.

hiya, have you booked tickets for the Arvo Part day at the barbican yet? i've just seen it, very keen to go. will ask my brother and my friends but i'm keen to book before they sell out. considering a day pass so i can go to spiegel and choral stuff at st giles, but the main draw for me is tabula rasa at 8pm at the barbican.

I think I may have shared that moment towards the end - no leaks but definitely a lump in the throat. How does Adam get those sounds from a guitar?! Very special night although the the acoustics of the hall seemed to make everyone a little too reverential. At times you really could have heard a pin drop and it was certainly too dark/busy to try new-friend-spotting! There's good review here: http://www.theartsdesk.com/new-music/winged-victory-sullen-cecil-sharp-house which sums up the performance pretty well. Wish I'd taken my vinyl for autographing but grabbed a consolation t-shirt as a souvenir :)

I'll be sure to check out Sufjan Stevens - I'm very familiar with the name but not the music. You'll certainly find some hoary tunes in my library - hope you find something inspiring or at least amusing! I'm at AWVFTS later - so if you see a spiky haired 40 something in a grey check shirt and biker jacket come over & say hi :)

Keep seeing you pop up all over pages I view so thought I'd come and make friends. There's quite a lot of stuff in your library I'm not familiar with - any good recommendations?

Hey! Saw your post on the Bookslam event page: Sign up for the mailing list to Wilton's, they do loads of stuff there and Cinema club is on the 20th which is fun. Failing that you could always pop in for a drink at the Mahogany Bar!

well, then I'm crossing my fingers for you too that they will make it to the UK TOGETHER one day ;) I've seen Nils again last october and I was definitely flying on a cloud of mellow after that! it's not just the music that impresses me, he is also just the sweetest and most humble human being, it seems.. sigh!
