If you like power pop (your playlist has a nice mix), John of Walt Mink has a band called Valley Lodge. I have the first album, which I recommend.

Larry-bob, hoping the holidays are bringing you even more good music to listen to (or at least more time to listen to it).

you need to hear this songæther+Strip/Civil+Disobedience/Snakebite (wish is apparently his Claus Larsen's favorite track on the Album). When it came out I messaged him to tell him it was my fave and he said it was his also.

Hi, I’m a student at UCL and for my dissertation I’m doing some research into audience experience at live indie gigs. I’m looking for people who have been to at least one indie gig in the past year to answer some questions about the gig they have attended. The questions can be found at: Thank-you very much for your help, it is very much appreciated :) Louise --------- Ps Your answers will be especially valued as you are a member of a group which has a clear definition of indie- my research is looking at the difference between what some people consider indie (e.g. poppy stuff v. independent music). Thank-you!

Did I share any Kevin Sandbloom recommendations with you? Not queer, but good nonetheless.

You're welcome re: Shirley Horn. I tend to lean towards the early stuff especially when it comes to jazz.

uh... I listened to the Tori Fixx song... it's kind of a laugh eh? i mean... he doesn't really dig bears... and he refers to "Seattle's Cuff" which is not a bear bar... CC's is the bear bar here... good beats... but I thought it was a bit strange to hear from him.

Missed your shout. Justin Bond was great - first time I'd seen him not as Kiki, and it was a more thoughtful, emotional performance. Jake Shears was the guest on the night I was there, and he duetted with Justin on 'The Rose' which was rather special... I would be very disappointed if Kiki + Herb have come to the end of the road as has been suggested, but Justin by himself was an acceptable substitute.
