Hi stranger. Wee recommendation: a duo from Brighton - MAP 71 - totally unique, new album 'Blood Fruit' out now (might've mentioned them before?) on bandcamp: https://map71.bandcamp.com/album/blood-fruit Happy to sling you some files if you like it. Review here on Freq among others: https://freq.org.uk/reviews/map-71-blood-fruit/

Glad I caught your comments on there, still can't get over how Suede-like 'Magnets' is! Yeah hope you found Map 71 interesting. They've been around ten years somehow, slowly developing in Brighton from bare bones in a way to something more colourful (I do like 'em monochrome too though)! Here's something from five years ago https://youtu.be/MneRuikInbQ

Greetings! My pet waterbird has come out of retirement, and will be making the rounds shortly among yaz that submitted your #1 most played tracks from 2022. Like myself, he is getting old and doesn't move as quickly as he used to, sometimes even getting lost enroute. However, like his buddy the desert tortoise, he eventually gets to where he is going. He will begin his journey in the next few hrs, and assures me that unless he passes into eternity before completion of his mission, he will accomplish the task of dropping the link for the playlist in every participant's inbox some time between Today 1/13, and the end of this weekend.... Thanks for your partipation and patience:*_*)

Happy New Year, I spent whole of the holidays just doing nothing much, a few walks in nature and a day in Compton Verney with friend looking at art and eating lunch. I enjoyed hot cups of herbal tea and mulled juice with spices. Figuring out how to make tinctures into the new year as going back to uni at the end of January. It was nice not travelling very much and relaxing. Bliss! Haha 2 drinks, I'd be sloshed with just one. Lucky you on holiday until today. I went back last week.

Hello, just like one week ago I listened to some songs of her solo albums, nice. I have somehow forgotten them over the years and these days I rediscover them again. I listened to their first album Eden and will go on with the rest. I love her voice a lot. Where are you from? Have a nice day, Bernd

Hi Bernd, I love Eden it's my favourite. I bought the cassette back in the 80's which I have still. I don't dare play it as it might snap, not sure how robust tape is after nearly 40 years! I'm originally from Edinburgh, in Scotland, I now in Warwickshire (in the middle of England)

In general good! In July I was in Barcelona to attend to a music festival and then, a concert of Calexico. I saw Jack White, Duran Duran, Editors, Hot Chip. It was nice to see music again! And this week I've been to France. I visited Nimes, Arles, Avignon. Nice cities but it was too hot there! It seems interesting that you visit ancient places and forests :)

I've listened Jayac. Pure folk in the circle of Música andina. Ecuador, Perú, Chile and Bolivia are producers most known of this movement. I remembered Walka, colombian project of Andes music but fusion with rock. I hope enjoy, musical friend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1VO5L6ItWA&ab_channel=walkafusion

Hola, mi querido amigo :) ¡Gracias! I've found Cimarrón on my music player so I'm playing a couple of their albums. I've also updated their last fm page as it didn't have any pictures or album covers. I also like Jayac from Ecuador, who I was lucky to see when they came to the UK, in the 1990s. https://www.last.fm/music/Jayac

HiYa Diane! i hope You are staying safe, and still smiling as we journey through these crazy times. This past week I discovered Reinaeiry an exceptionally talented young singer-song writer from Singapore whose style is genre busting, but folk-pop might be an appropriate way to describe it. Although her vocal delivery is unique, I believe it also conjures up comparisons with female folk icons that emerged during the folk revival of the 60s such as Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Buffy St Marie, and perhaps most especially Joni Mitchell. Also for someone so young, her lyrics contain pearls of wisdom that speak to every generation.

Although now virtually unknown, with fewer than 300 last.fm listeners (currently 3495 scrobbles), my guess is she is poised to explode on the music scene in the not too distant future. I think there is better than a fair chance You will enjoy Reinaeiry’s music, but at the very least, she is worthy of a listen. And If You are so inclined, please let me know your impressions. Thanks, Gazy...... https://www.last.fm/music/Reinaeiry
