Oh god, try not to get too obsessed with old Serge. Many have fallen for his charms before. I'm a big chunky fan of Histoire de Melody Nelson but apart from that, what wee little nuggets of filthy gallic gold have you uncovered? London is looking gorgeous and Dickensian christmassy but I'm working a vast amount (over 70 hours next week) to try and save something for an adventure in the new year. Although I do have a 6 disc compilation of pre war early primitive gospel to get through so life isn't all bad. Mmmm....lo-fi loveliness!!!

Oh yes my friend, I sure did survive the year of rock 'n' roll death which I think is 27. That being said, I was kinda lacking in the rock 'n' roll having only been in an awful garage band with my tone deaf friends when I was 17 so I'm not sure that I had enough rock 'n' roll stored up for a death. Maybe a slight grazing of the knee or when you hit your funny bone. Either way, I SURVIVED!!!

I don't know when it will be etc. I'm still waiting for a letter from the department that handles shit like that. If i am lucky i can get to do time at home, so i can work and pay my rent, but we'll see about that when time comes. I am alright, really. I've been preparing for this for so long, so it hardly came as a shock. I'm just very very very pissed off about it!!!

Short hair 'ey? Yeah it's something I'm getting used to over the last week. It's not been this short since I was about 15 and I do wake up every morning looking like an eastern european prison inmate but I do get the joy of when I towel dry it, I look like I've been electrocuted in a cartoon! It was Guy Fawkes Night last night here in Old England so my rum housemates and I went and saw the fireworks display in the park all set to Sun Ra and Nick Cave. Bloody fantastic.

Oh, one to get you started: some demented drug addled soul... There's A Riot Goin' On by Sly And The Family Stone. It's got this amazing sound quality because the tapes where almost wiped by continuous overdubbing and wiping of various 'ladies' backing vocals after they were promised that they would be on the album in exchange for a bit of you know what. Oh and it has early drum machines and yodelling!

Kill devil hills, it's good but i find it nowhere near the same genre or sound as BoB. They've got (Kill devil) a more western sound, the bass line and the entire rythm of Boneyard Rider is like a Django movie. I like it, but the singers voice is a bit to neat. Me wanna hear some groooowlin'!

well well well well! I don't know, there are some potential hits there, like night of the lotus and hold on to yourself and 3 or 4 more songs. But right now i am a bit unhappy that it sounds a wee bit to much like Grinderman. I wish they could have kept that out of it. Hell, grinderman is cool but the seeds is the seeds. But this album is a grower me thinx, so give me a month, by then i'm a fan:P
