Okay. In Texas right now, it’s just plain hot! So, like an ice-laden beverage, here’s some relief from the dry heat of mainstream radio. First up, a snippet from producer/vocalist Muhsinah from her 16 Hours Mixtape follow by local producer/dj Semantic Noise and the track, “Atoms for Peace” from his Trust the Stars project.
Hip-hop steps through the door with, “Love, Hugs, and Hip-Hop”, from Carlos Nino and Lil’ Sci are What’s the Science? (yep, that’s their name!) and the catchy, “Dog Park” by The Saturday Knights.
As the ice cubes stir, the beat speeds up with “Starstrings” from Jody Wisternoff, followed by the Gaffes and Gadgets remix of “Peppermint” from Plastic Operator.
Then like a cool breeze from the heat, a smooth flow returns. Enjoy a remix of Emulsion’s “Balloons and Centipedes”, the velvety sounds of Lalah’s, “One Mile” (and this track isn’t even the tightest from her new CD, Self Portrait. Mercy!), and finally, Presto’s suggestion to “Pour Another One (featuring Blu)”. Enjoy yourself and your loves. Always thanks to IODA for most of this music.
