Trash Talk Funfunfun after party at Red7 http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-27551-Austin-Metal-Music-Scene-Examiner~y2009m10d22-Trash-Talk-Funfunfun-Fest-after-party-at-Red7-Nov-7th-2009

The 4th annual Funfunfun Fest (FFF) takes place in various downtown locations, much like SXSW, and exhibits various forms of inde, hip-hop, and hardcore/punk. FFF is a growing tradition in the Waterloo Park area and is attracting a wider variety of acts, including Reign Supreme, Riverboat Gamblers, MC Chris, and GZA/Genius for this year’s lineup on festival grounds. Like any other music festival in Austin, a series of after-shows offer additional excitement for those who were or were not able to afford a wristband, what with the rising prices each year. The most notable of these scheduled performances this year: for fans of true hardcore music, Trash Talk from Sacramento, CA.
Red7 will be hosting the event, also featuring Negative Approach and Christ On Parade, which will make for a solid night of recreational violence and musical appreciation. Last year at FFF, Trash Talk was easily the most impressive stage performance, partially due to the vocalist Lee Garrett’s sudden impulse to repeatedly bludgeon his forehead with the microphone until he bled, which is apparently a common occurrence with this dynamic and powerful band. Upon returning to Austin, Trash Talk will have no choice but to put forth all of their energy in order to equivocate with last year’s performance.
Surely, they will be promoting their new album East of Eden 7” which dropped this March; the title song can be streamed for free at www.rcrdlbl.com, featuring Keith Morris of Circle Jerks doing guest vocals.
