Fri 13 Apr – Frank Turner, Billy Bragg, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Beans on Toast
Incredible Night.
Highlight: Crowd Singing and Participation.
I've never been to a gig where the crowd have sang so loud to every single song (except the brand new one). I haven't really listened to Frank Turner a lot, despite seeing him at reading festival before. I mainly went to this gig because my brother was going, but im sooooooooo pleased that I went. Every song was fantastic. New song, Four Simple Words, started light before bursting into a fury of guitars was excellent, The Road, I Still Believe, Reasons not to be an Idiot, Euology were all highlights among the other brilliant song. Franks mum played harmonica on Dan's Song. Billy Bragg joined Frank for a Bob Dylan cover and Frank ended the main set with a Queen cover, all remember-able aspects. The best song was photosythesis which ended the night and had everyone singing and sitting down and jumping up.
Billy Bragg, Scroobius Pip v.s. Dan Le Sac and Beans on Toast were also all excellent supports.
