Hi,
I’m not thinking about changing anything in my template. So it’s still the usual kind of entry…

Last week in covers:

Noteworthy:
> Meat Loaf : well, I can’t really say that I’m a fan of the artist. But the music he released when I grew up is kind of dear to me. So I revisited “Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell” for a few songs - tunes like “Rock’n Roll Dreams Come True”.
> The Corrs : flashback times. Oh, you can’t go wrong with a bit of Corrs greatest hits.
> Alanis Morissette : it’s amazing how timeless many of her songs are. Just listen to “Thank U”.
> The Shins : well, yes, that happened, too. I’ve listened to “Port Of Morrow” - their latest album.
Stats!
Most played artists:
> Claire : new artist alert. This is a German indie band that I got recommended via LOHRO. And yes, their sound is quite likable.
> Klaxons : hm, I had this band in my library for a long time. And last week I thought I should give it another try. But tbh I’m still not convinced. ^^
> John Newman : well, I get that his debut album is just radio friendly retro pop and maybe not the best he could do. But I can live with that. ^^
> The Weeknd : after I’m so much into his album “Kiss Land”, I began to check out “Trilogy” which is a collection of 3 EPs/albums. I can tell you, the journey will continue.
Most played tracks:
> Bring The Noize (Extended Version) : I cannot tell you how much I like this song. I’d say that the music of M.I.A. really opened my mind a bit.
> Let Her Go : yeah, it’s still one of my favorite songs these days.
> Do What U Want (feat. Christina Aguilera) : ooh, now replace R. Kelly with Xtina and Lady Gaga’s current single really grows on me. Now I can’t wait for a video.
News?
> No Iggy Pop in the video version of Ke$ha’s “Dirty Love”? Well, somehow I got used to his vocal parts. That makes this solo song weaker. And don’t ask about the video - it’s weak as well.
> Justin Bieber’s video for “Hold Tight” just features footage from his recent tour. So nothing special - just like the song. :P
> Oh boy. Pop abomination Daniel Küblböck is back - now as Daniel Kaiser. And his video “Be A Man” can only be considered as a parody, right? I mean, who on earth would greenlight such a crap?
> Christina Perri’s video for “Human” really supports the song with eye candy. Not to mention that it is a lovely song.
New in the German charts:
Bonfire Heart : hm, I’m not sure why this happens now, because I think James Blunt already has a newer single. Maybe some kind of tv event helped.
Atemlos durch die Nacht : wow, I can’t remember this successful singer being among the top ten ever. Well, now she made it. Oh, and for the video she used a Bassflow remix. Hm, oh oh, I guess I could really dig this. ^^
