This isn't restricted to social learning either, the person who invented the wheel, didn't actually invent round stones, the same way the person who discovered fire didn't create it, they both perceived natural occurrences and used it as a foundation in understanding and invention. I used to wonder, if you were to lock yourself up in a room for a month with sufficient food and tools, would you be able to come up with one completely original idea or craft, that you simply can't break down to past inspirations. I soon enough realized that's impossible. I started simple enough, children are creative I thought, they don't really understand social boundaries or norms, but even their drawings and ramblings are eclectic, since they've used nature as ground for their imagination, and unavoidably, so will I. If you, for example, were to try saying something original by putting together an eccentric unusual sentence "dogs bark green feathers during spring", you're using English grammar, words, vocal communication, things you've learned from others.

You know, actually, I find it very hard to bear a grudge against teams in the MLB. I guess the only team I sort of *hate* is the Yankees, but even they got Kuroda, Suzuki, Granderson. Great players. I think it's because I have zero ties geographically with any team, being from the Netherlands, and MLB.tv allows me to watch any team without blackout restrictions. Also, VIllanueva is pretty solid today. Shut out the Giants so far who had Cain on the mount.
