revived for my fun.
After one full year of using LastFM I'm finally able to do some lame statistics and a summary of this year listened/released music nobody cares about :D

-> They were going down since Crashings (2004), too bad, with this record they reached a low point of Christian music.
2.) Static-X - Cult Of Static
-> Same as Chimaira but even harder. Worst record they ever did! Thought during listening: WTF!? Is THIS serious!?
1.) Sybreed - The Pulse Of Awakening
-> Only close on #1. Their debut was so awesome and now this crap. Ö.ö

5.) Rammstein - Liebe Ist Für Alle Da
-> Well, best record since Mutter, isn't it? And this time even with Bonus Tracks!
4.) RED - Innocence & Instinct
-> Astonishing good music. Led me actually to Christian music. :D
3.) Die! - Still
-> Fucking owns with Ex-Megaherz singer Elsholz! Perfect man for this great band, like the missing salt on your potatoes.
2.) Bury Your Dead - It's Nothing Personal
-> This record suprised me A LOT: great lyrics combined with catchy tunes and deep guitar sound and that in one year of work! :O They kind of grew up with this record (musically). Veeery far from #3 away but still it can't reach #1.
1.) Disarmonia Mundi - The Isolation Game
-> Best record for the following reasons: Cypher Drone; best alternation (and still in its genre) within one record that I listened EVER; very unique sound; did not hear this on any other record regardless of what other reviewers said; combination of things I like as: fast, powerful, aggressive, contrasts like high pitch vocals and growling or industrial influences + Death Metal; highly melodic.
I were already claiming for a lot from DM on this record as I like their prior records which are ingenious but this record overlaps everything.

9. Most memorable songs (what comes into mind first is written first):
Acceptance - So Contagious
-> Discovered at the beginning of this year I guess, I don't remember exactly. Intro caught me as it is such a sweet guitar sound and those lyrics are as lovely as I never heared before. "Oh, when I'm around you I'm predictable. 'Cause I believe in loving you at first sight" is probably the most memorable line of all lyrics I've listened this year. So cute and perfect. I totally recognize these lyrics in my own life.
Bury Your Dead - Hurting Not Helping
-> Beautiful lyrics combined with clean vocals and kind of growls as well as powerful breakdowns and a deep guitar sound which I really love. Especially the lines "I should have never let you leave. You were the only one." caught me.
Typical song with which I can identify myself.
Disarmonia Mundi - Cypher Drone
-> Just a beast of a Melodic Metal song, probably the best MDM song I've listened so far at least the best of this year for sure.
Mindblowing and epic like all MDM songs should be.
Wir Sind Helden - Kaputt
-> This song shows the excellent talent of Judith Holofernes, the female singer, to play with the German language to give it a subtle deep meaning. I can remember very well hearing this song for the first time, I let LastFM playing my recommendations and this song showed up somewhen late after midnight. And I seriously had tears in my eyes because of its moving lyrics. xD
This song has a lot of great lines but "So viel kaputt Aber so vieles nicht Jede der Scherben Spiegelt das Licht" are the best two.
For you foreigners not able to understand German, it says (logical) even in bad times when your life seems shattered not everything is really shattered and those splinters give hope for what they actually are: splinters of your life that you lived, for things that you had sometime the pleasure to experience; think metaphorical. ;'D
Unheilig - Puppenspieler
-> For a fan of industrial music (not electronic that's something different) with German lyrics you can't get avoid to hear his band.
They did a lot of stupid stuff but this song is another pretty metaphorical song by telling a story of a puppeteer like the title says.
"Und die Ängste deiner Selbst - Erscheinen plötzlich so viel leichter - Denn am Ende siegt der Held" Sweet lines, sweet lines that can give hope but also they tell you that it's not necessary to overreact over certain problems because it will always turn out good (pretty optimistic yes but it's still great).
Tuoni - Karu Totuus
-> Opened my mind for finnish music not that I denied it but most of time you just hear Black Metal bands or something like that from this country. And I don't like Black Metal at all for its usually crappy ear-raping vocals. But what am I talking about this is Thrash Metal at its finest! The acme of Thrash in my ears.
I would like to know what the lyrics are about but I don't speak any finnish and people I was asking to tell me didn't do it and Google does not even give me the finnish lyrics so.. ='(
There are a lot of other songs that are worth to be mentioned but I think these ones are the most memorable ones.
