Hey! Yes indeed, it's been far too long. You definitely should listen to HUM more, in fact, I do too. What's the newest additions to your record collection? Well, I developed quite the obsession with a group called His Name is Alive (signed to 4AD for 13 years) and their early albums are absolutely magical. Definitely worth listening to.

Yeah I like it slightly more than The Seer too, it feels more consistent to me. I do kind of miss the darker moments from The Seer though, To Be Kind has a few creepy moments but as a whole its a bit more lighthearted than The Seer (by Swans standards, anyways). My favorite off of the album is probably She Loves Us, followed closely by Bring the Sun. I just love that groove in She Loves Us, and I think it has one of Michael Gira's best vocal performances yet. And there are just no words for the build up and climax of Bring the Sun. How about you? The only song I'm a little disappointed by is the title track, the live version just seemed more emotional to me. Oh well, someday I'll learn not to listen to live boots before an album release.

Hey, I think I see some Twin Peaks moment in about me. :) Actually, I just wanted to know which is your favourite Talking Heads album that's missing in 50 favourite albums list? :)))

Thats nice to hear, I've pretty much been doing the same. I love it! It was just as good as I had hoped for. I saw them live last week as well and I really recommend it if they ever come by your area, its probably the best concert I've been too. Really powerful and intense.

You really should, Downward is Heavenward is such a masterpiece. Well, I've been really into a band called A.R Kane lately. I'm just saving up my money to buy all their stuff, already bought their debut on CD. Listened to it on my dad's sound system quite a few times already, sounds majestic. Kinda dream-pop/shoegaze from the 80s and 90s. Give it a try, you'll dig :)

I was thinking that I haven't heard from you in a while. I do indeed, I'm currently learning through all my favourite songs - not ones that are too hard, though! Do you know/like Silkworm? I've been listening to them a lot on Youtube and thinking about buying some of their stuff. "Treat the new guy right" is an amazing song!

I see you've been listening to my favourite HUM album. It's fairly simple, but I actually learnt to play "apollo" on the drums today. Gorgeous song.

I do indeed feel that way. I've got albums on my iPod that I've downloaded months and still haven't got around to listening to them. So much music, so little time! "For Your Own Special Sweetheart" is a tremendous album, Jawbox were incredibly good musicians!

Down Colorful Hill is definitely my favorite but I think they're all at least 9/10 albums.

My favourite of their albums is definitely "For Your Own Special Sweetheart" and the self-titled (their last album) I haven't listened to their first two albums enough, perhaps I should but as I said, I'm really influenced by the band's second drummer (appeared on their last two) and I think that adds on to my listening experience. What's your favourite album?

Carissa, Jim Wise and Ben's My Friend are probably my top three from the album so far. I absolutely love all the seemingly insignificant and minute details he puts into the songs. Gives it an incredibly personal feel. I really haven't been big on many other Sun Kil Moon albums but I love Mark so I'm hoping this trend continues.

Hello! Life is treating me quite well, thanks. I LOVE the new Warpaint album, i've been listening to it all week. I saw them a week ago tonight and up until that point I thought it was a bit rubbish but it's grown on me massively since then. I'd forgotten how much I love them. I went to see St.Vincent the night after too and I wasn't too keen on her new album either but it's grown on me since then and I quite like it. She was incredible live too. I can't believe you're going to see Hellfyre Club!

I've actually know Boards of Canada for a few years now, but I've only just back into them. I think I need to be in a certain mood to sit and pay attention to their music. I think it requires a good attention span. And Jawbox are insanely good, their last two albums are their best, I think. I love the drumming on both those albums, among my favourite drumming.

For Bedhead I'd go with WhatFunLifeWas. There's only three though and they're all fantastic. For Idaho I think they have gone through a few stylistic changes throughout their career so it would really depend on what you prefer. Some songs I'd check out are Wondering the Fields, Live Today Again, God's Green Earth and A Million Reasons then just grab the respective album of the song you like the best. They're all amazing though and worth a listen. Really you can't go wrong with any Bedhead or Idaho album in my opinion. Not too sure where people get music nowadays, I mainly use private torrent sites. Also how do you like Benji? I think it's probably Mark's best effort post-Red House Painters.
