Honestly, is this the best last.fm website developers can do? As stated multiple times by the vocal users, the new layout for the site is blatantly messy and unintuitive. I'm sure I don't need to describe what's wrong with it, everyone has their own eyes and the development forums have more than a couple rage threads.
It's outstanding that the design was on beta stage only for a while (a week or two?) before it was put into use. Why not use the feedback to improve the design and once the feedback for the new, progressively improved design would be overly positive, then launch the site back with the new layout?
So incredibly stupid. At this rate, this site that has belonged to one of my favourites since -07 is steadily going downhill each day. I only hope that the devs will actually develop the current design according to the feedback - and soon. Well, at least my no.1 reason to use last.fm, browsing user profiles and stats, has remained as same as always. But wait, I also heard rumors about upcoming change for the user profiles. . .
And hell, this site still needs more AJAX.
