I used Sputnik in the past... I still do. Most of the time, though, I read reviews from the Rolling Stone. And you're right, Allmusic is very generous. The only good thing about them is that they review EVERYTHING. I haven't come across an album yet that they haven't reviewed. Another site that I use occasionally is Pitchfork, though they tend to hate everything. XD I've never seen them rate anything over a 7/10.

Limp Bizkit's stuff is critically acclaimed? XD Eh, I'm not really a fan of them. I wouldn't necessarily say that they're "crap," I'm just not a fan. And that's not cheesy at all. I used to do that. My library used to contain ONLY mainstream popular artists. Now, I've broadened my horizons and listen to much more. =)

Our libraries don't have to be similar for me to like yours! Besides, there are many artists who I like from yours that I haven't added yet, for whatever reason. The xx is a good example. =P

ha, thats a thing of personal taste. I don't like D'n'B and no one could explain what's good at it. back to post-rock: some bands are really boring, that's true. they don't even get me. but there's some overwhelming stuff I fell in love with, like my new discovery: THESE MONSTERS. very good stuff with a kind of post-apocalyptic :) mood. that's exactly my thing at the moment.

Yes, it is, in fact, one of the most ass-kicking album by Foo's, but I would not agree with you about other albums are bland. The Colour and the Shape, There is nothing Left to Lose and One by One are pretty good either (My Hero, Everlong, Learn to Fly, All My Life, Times Like These - you know what i mean :) ) Btw - you are the guy who recommended to download 320kbps version of Wasting Light?

Thanks for the recommendations! Maybe I'll check them out when I have the time. And by the way, if you want to get into metal, try Black Sabbath's album Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. I know Ozzy isn't the greatest singer around but the music is just great. It's Sabbath's masterpiece anyway....

Hehe most of my last.fm neighbours are 17 year old Polish guys so I guess that's my mental age, more or less. Tool are ok but not metal. Also, listening to them will make you gay. Pantera are also good for the metal noobz... Dunno, tried stoner metal? Monster Magnet and the rest? Though they are more rock than metal, I guess. You can also try Fear Factory. My boyfriend is on a huge Fear Factory kick these days and he has brainwashed me. Try Demanufucture. Also Manowar are cheesy. If you take them seriously you are doing it wrong.

And if you really want a recommendation for Sonic Youth, try the album Sister. It's shorter than Daydream Nation so it's a little easier to get into, I think, but both of those are excellent. Or if you want something a little more recent of theirs, try Murray Street.

RE: Sonic Youth & Hoobastank. That's odd, because they're both in your library, albeit fairly low. SY is tied for 249th w/ 5 plays, and Hoobastank is tied for 115th w/ 28 plays. So at least you've heard them. :) I just looked at the compatibility thing, and it mentioned Sonic Youth so that's who I went with for best (one of my favorite bands).
