yesterday i laid my ipod to rest.

apparently there was a batch of ipods released with that irreconcileable hardware glitch, so im getting a brand new one in 21 working days. the apple people were suprised that i had kept my ipod for so long - knowing something was wrong - without returning it.

i watched as the technician removed my coco from its casing - unscratched, immaculate white and silver just like the day i took him out of the box. the guy uncerimoniously slapped a piece of masking tape over coco's back and wrote the serial number, bundled up the earphones and labeled that too. he laid coco on the counter and said "okey na mam."

i almost cried.

and i nearly said "maybe i can stand to re-import all my songs everytime it wipes out. i love this ipod, we went everywhere together!" it almost killed me to walk away from it - it was like i was condemning my coco to ipod hell in some junkyard somewhere.

im wondering if it would be too heartless to call my new ipod coco again.. it really is so silly how much i'm attached to that little white thing.

I'm putting together a HAPPY Indie Pop sampler - and I know for a fact that Indie Pop by its very nature is happy shiny bouncy, but here's the best of the best I could come up with. Any other suggestions for nice lazy day/goodmorning/ipod please make me feel better/goodvibes songs?
