After years of suppressing my love of this genre due to trying to impress some people and getting a boyfriend who listens to an awful lot of it, I have come to realize I will never evade my love of country music. A result of my upbringing with only one radio station and an emotional connection with a few songs, I will always have a place in my ipod for country, albeit only a select playlist. Because while I do love country, I don't particularly love the pop-country of today. My list below reflects that (hopefully):

Does anyone ever wish that they were born in a different era?

I hear the music that has been coming out lately (Jonas Brothers, Amy Winehouse, Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, and all the other overrated and sometimes overinfatuated-with music "artists" out there today), and it makes me hate commercialism. Maybe hate is strong word…loathe? Maybe that's an even stronger word.
