7 jan 2007, 01:41Years ago, I didn't own many albums. I just used to pick and retain the best tracks, which usually were the singles. Too much stuff on the albums I couldn't bear to hear, it seems.
During the past few years, I've been scanning for new music and found albums, whose songs all were worth ripping to my hard drive, like the ones of Enigma, Delerium, Schiller, ATB or Editors.
I wondered, what are my top 3 artists, of whom I don't own albums? So I went through my overall charts and found the first one at place nr. 19:
I bought their single release Haltet die Welt an, which has - believe it or not - 14 tracks on it. Since I liked so many remixes there, I ripped and kept 8 of them. With some other single releases and free downloads, I have 11 Glashaus tracks on my computer.
Next is at position 29 of my charts:
My 7 tracks of her, all single releases I think, were enough to earn her that position.
STS is next, that Austrian band, which had their hits mainly in the Eighties, but have become somewhat of an 'evergreen'. My father owns a few albums of them, but I only ripped a few tracks there. 10 tracks in total have been played 85 times so far.
Now it's your turn: Name your top 3 artists, that made it to the top without tracks scrobbled from complete albums!
29 maj 2006, 20:02Hey Folks!
We have group charts since May 26th.
I had a look at them and connected the group to its favourite artists. Artists making it to the top are sure to get a connection entry. I've also entered those who didn't make it nr. 1 but often made it to top 10 or so.
I hope that's ok with you (for those you care anyway ^^).
Our connections so far:
The Chemical Brothers
Nine Inch Nails
Red Hot Chili Peppers
To be honest, I've never heard of "Prefuse73", "Nine Inch Nails" or "Pixies". I'm gonna see what they have to offer.
Any comments are welcome.
The White Stripes
The Smashing Pumpkins

I never knew I had such artistic qualities! :B
You're are in 1980? Then join us.
I had the idea for this group a few weeks ago. So I checked whether there was someone who had the idea before me. Well, as it turned out, I was too slow with the idea of a "Born in 19**" group. But a "Born 1980" group was missing. So here we are!
27 aug 2005, 17:25We need some more members to display our charts.
Group entry criteria are not really hard to meet. ;-)
Everyone is welcome!
