I'm pretty addicted to it so far. I've only really listened to their s/t album, and then I listened to this... it's such a phenomenally different sound. I don't even think I can listen to the cute little s/t anymore. It doesn't even come close to being as textured and artistically complex as Shaking the Habitual. I've probably been listening to Full of Fire and.. really... weirdly... Fracking Fluid Injection, the most. Once I found out how they made the sounds... I just wanted to hear it over and over. (Look it up! Although I don't know how they made the gnarly squeegy sound at 3:12 which makes me cringe EVERY TIME.)

I wasn't sure how they were going to follow up Silent Shout. I was floored the first time I listened to it. If this is the direction they are taking the project I approve. It's probably tied with The Seer by Swans as my favorite album of this decade so far.

you've inspired me to start tagging again. been slacking off too much lately. and i'm still cracking up at your tag for Terry Jacks Seasons in the Sun. from now on, whenever i hear that song, i'll imagine a four year old shivering on the floor in dramatic agony.

hahaha as are yours. actually, yours beat mine by a mile. 'this makes up for most of the album' is brillant, and 'i used to listen to this on a cassette tape when i was four and pretend i was dying' killed me.

Hey, thanks for stopping by. Actually that's a quote from 海童道祖, Watazumi Doso. He played the hocchiku flute and his recordings are damned tricky to track down. I think that pretty much tells it like it is.
