To some she is the pioneer of the genre known as classical crossover or contemporary opera, to others she can be simply known as popera. Well its hard to say because this amazing woman with a career over twenty five years long has covered a wide variety of music from showtunes, to classical pieces, to 80's to early 90's pop hits (the album Dive was a compilation of these) To dance hits like the album Harem with a nice spice of Arabian flare. Her more recent release of the album Symphony saw her experiment with alternative rock and even symphonic metal with the amazing song Fleurs Du Mal. And followed by A Winter Symphony which was a most enchanting Christmas piece. her album Eden released in 1998 is a quite a few years old but it still has a reverberating feel of classical and pop that seems like brand new. The song Eden being a catchy cover of Hooverphonic's, but stripped of all symphonic keyboard elements and given a more bombastic sound with I beleive the voices of Gregorian in the background and a real orchestra along with a catchy beat. although some may not consider Sarah a full fledged opera singer. I still beleive she has paved the way for most crossover artist. Who can forget her amazing performance in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera. To this day she is the best Christine there ever was. I wonder what this amazing diva will conquer next. With so many amazing albums I've lost count, but we are all eagerly waiting for more amazing music from this outstanding woman.
