I've heard of and listened to all of them. Jerry Cantrell, of course, is in one my favorite 90s bands, Alice in Chains, and the Bens is made up of the 3 Bens I love the most (Folds, Kweller, Lee). I'm not sure I remember much of Anna Nalick's music or Bush's, so I'll have to check them out, I guess.

Song: The Outlaw Torn
Comments: Many Metallica fans have criticized Load, but to me that album proves Metallica's lyrical and vocal talent along with their musical brilliance. The Outlaw Torn is the best track on the album, delivering nine minutes and forty nine seconds of true metal goodness.

2. Foo Fighters
Song: Hey, Johnny Park!
Start off with a great guitar riff and add Dave Grohl's beautiful vocals. That already sounds like the perfect song to me n'est pas? This song gets me energized like no other.

3. Jimmy Eat World
Song: A Sunday
Although I was tempted to honor Kill as JEW's best, there's just something about the album Clarity that can't be surpassed. A Sunday is the kind of JEW song I like best: relaxing, relatable, and present on the most underated and brilliant JEW album.

4. The Beatles
Song: The Long and Winding Road
Great lyrics, intense passion, undeniable sadness... this has everything I love packed into one rock ballad. The Naked version is I N C R E D I B L E and the album version is no joke as well.

5. Queens of the Stone Age
Song: The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret
This song and clever and so very true. Josh Homme sounds particularly good on this track if I do say so myself. Although this isn't on one of their more popular albums, this song is a must have for any QOTSA lover.

6. The Academy is...
Song: Checkmarks
If you're pissed off (with a memeber of the opposite sex especially) than listen to this track and release your frusteration for that good-for-nothing. I know I do :)

7. Soundgarden
Song: Burden in My Hand
If someone can find something un-brilliant about this track, please let me know. The lyrics of this song in particular are some of Soundgarden's best.

8. Cake
Song: Jolene
With a guitar part like that, it just has to be good. The lyrics are reminiscent of another great song, the Beatle's She's Leaving Home. Also, gotta love McCrea's trademark screamings/talkings at the end.

9. Alice in Chains
Song Real Thing
I know that most people would pick a song like Man in the Box or No Excuses as their favorite, I definitely like this song the best. I can't really explain... just everything about this song gets me and makes me feel for Staley's hard life experiances

10. Ben Folds Five
Song: Evaporated
It was a hard choice due to the fact that I love so many Ben Folds Five songs. This song, however, makes me cry everytime I hear it. If anyone has been at the kind of point in their lives that Ben Folds is singing about, I'm sure they understand.

11. Muse
Song: Time Is Running Out
I've been here before. Lots of people have been here before. That's what's I love about Muse. They just KNOW what it's like. Time is Running Out is the epitome of that.

12. Falling Up
Song: Islander
When I bought Exit Lights, I was expecting nothing more than a remix C.D. But then I heard this song- a brand nrew, non remixed song- and fell head over heels in love. It's mystic, it's beautiful, and it's in honor of our good Lord too.

13. Chris Cornell
Song: Wave Goodbye
This song, written in honor of the late Jeff Buckley, is just about as fantastic as Mr. Buckley himself.

14. Stone Temple Pilots
Song: Plush
I don't really get what this song is about, but I love it anyways. Scott Weiland is a brilliant singer and this song proves it (I think) more than any other STP song does.

15. Radiohead
Song: Paranoid Android
I orginally would have picked High and Dry, but I've heard that Thom Yorke isn't a very big fan of that song. Paranoid Android represents the best of Radiohead. Best of all, this song is like 4 different and very brilliant songs in one. It's ecclectic and mesmerizing through every transition.

If my username doesn't make it clear that I love this song, then I don't know what will. This song has been my favorite for about three years. I love it! Love it! Can't explain it, but I love it!!! Got it? Good.
