Good evening Tabbycat........I've just seen your comment on VDGG's "Killer". I do that in trendy bars in Newcastle on the rare occasion I'm in the Toon, but I put Sonic Prayer by Earthless on the jukebox. It's 54 mins long and heavy. It really pisses the popsters off ! I think I've seen most bands in your charts...but Maiden take the biscuit...right from day 1. Cheers4now ..Kirky

You left a comment on Iron Maiden - Starblind "Cannot make head nor tail of the lyrics, but holy Eddie, the melodies are some of the most beautiful I've ever heard ... \m/ ". The lyrics talk about the lies of religion and how you have the choice to live free from it's confines. You can get a good detailed explanation about the song in the following link: http://www.ironmaidencommentary.com/?url=album15_tff/commentary15_tff&lang=eng&link=albums#track7 . I am seriously in love with those lyrics and this has to be one of my favorite tracks on the album along with The Talisman.

Your queries in your About Me section seem to relate to what the labels choose to make available to Last FM. If they won't put an album on here, it just won't be here, it's nothing really to do with Last FM. Also sometimes label mistag albums and tracks by mistake, which doesn't help. Interesting comments in the National Acrobat shoutbox though. A friend of mine had some terribly religious parents who tried to screw up her teenage years. Ardent, hardened Christians. Fortunately she just went to university and had lots of sex... seemed to fix it. To a degree, anyway.

Om mig

Why I haven't been on here much of late, and why it sucks that you can't search for songs and play them any more.

As you may gather from my stats, I am an extremely keen Iron Maiden fan. Look at the 'Last 7 days' stats, however, and strange things happen. Usually it will say that I have not been on from one week's end to the next - because, on the rare occasions when I've been on here recently, I haven't been able to get Last FM to play me any Maiden (and sometimes I can't get it to play me any solo Bruce Dickinson either - and ironically, the times when I have these problems always seem to occur at the same point in the month, which is also the time when I have PMS and am likely to be infuriated beyond measure with Planet Rock not playing enough metal and switch to Last FM in search of some Maiden). You'd think Last FM would realise that not playing someone their favourite band with sufficient regularity would make them leave, but apparently not.

Until recently, there was a way to fix this glitch. I used to be able to search for Maiden, pick out 5 tracks, listen to each in full and give them 10 Love ratings each. This would make the software relent and the next time I started listening by a tag, it would start including Maiden at an acceptable rate again. However, this option is no longer open to me, so I have all but abandoned Last FM: what is the point of my filling the site's Shoutboxes if regular activity is punished by not hearing one's favourite band at regular intervals?

In place of Last FM, I have been listening to Planet Rock, but Darren Redick, their afternoon guy, is not playing enough metal in general, let alone enough Maiden, and is ignorant when I write in requesting more metal, so I am looking for something else to fill my afternoons with music. As a last-ditch attempt to recover the enjoyment I once gained from Last FM, I am writing this as the Last FM staff occasionally used to take notice of profile messages and fix the glitches I pointed out. Hopefully, they will see this and either bring back the way of fixing the problem oneself or sort it out properly. Otherwise, there's a thread on the Iron Maiden Fan Club where people from all around the world have recommended their favourite radio stations, so I guess I'll just have to work my way through those until I find somewhere that plays me lots of metal and especially lots of Maiden.
