The perfect Kamelot setlist

Was messing around after someone asked me to make a 20-song setlist for Kamelot (you know who you are ;)) and I came up with one that I think could actually work very well. Listening to it now and some of the transitions work perfect (in my opinion)

So here it is:

Opiate Soul/The Edge of Paradise
The Black Halo
The Light I Shine on You
Temples of Gold
Rule the World
This Pain
Wander
Mourning Star
A Feast for the Vain
The Haunting (Somewhere in Time)
Serenade
Karma
The Shadow of Uther
Forever
III Ways to Epica
-------------------
The Human Stain
Elizabeth
Epilogue
Lunar Sanctum
-------------------
March of Mephisto

I didn't listen to entire setlist, so I can't comment on everything (something I wasn't planning too anyway). But I will say that the transition from This Pain to Wander is absolutely perfect. Listen for yourself. And while listening to The Edge of Paradise I could imagine how that would be like in real life and I got goosebumps from it.

I'd say: make a playlist in this order and enjoy!

Comments are welcome: would you change some songs, would you put a song on different position in the setlist? I'd love to hear it :)

I now listened to the entire playlist and I'm very happy with the way everything seems to fit. A song like A Feast for the Vain could be replaced with a similar upbeat song like Silence of the Darkness or Center of the Universe, but not because it doesn't fit, it's just a replacable song in this setlist. I think that III Ways to Epica is a very fitting song to end the regular setlist with, because it just leaves you begging for more. The ending of the song also gives the audience a perfect chance to go wild. It was also nice to find out that The Human Stain is awesome as the first song for the encore, just imagine: the crowd still chanting/shouting for an encore and then: the melody kicks in, the crowd goes silent. Roy appears out of nowhere (maybe from behind the band) and starts singing the first verse while the song gradually picks up pace. Nice right? I could go track by track, but it's really way better if you find out for yourself.

EDIT:

Here is another one I made and although I also like this one, I have the feeling it won't work quite as well.

Opiate Soul/The Edge of Paradise
Rule the World
This Pain
Alexandria
The Human Stain
Abandoned
III Ways to Epica
Karma
Serenade
A Sailorman’s Hymn
Desert Reign/Nights of Arabia
The Shadow of Uther
Mourning Star
Descent of the Archangel
The Haunting (Somewhere in Time)
Forever
---------------------
The Pendulous Fall
Don’t You Cry
March of Mephisto
---------------------
Elizabeth

Dunno whether you'll add it or not, but the transition from A Feast for the Vain and The Haunting is totally fab too :D And I'm sure there are many more to come :)

That one came after finishing the journal, but you're right. And the one after that (Haunting to Serenade) is one that could work really well live (if you exclude the sirens, but they already do that)
