Exactly. I prefer the "guys dressing as girls" thing too mainly because of my love for femininity, and I love it when guys' natural masculinity mixes with femininity. Yeah sometimes even I don't understand myself :D But you're right, it's just another case of never being fully satisfied with what you are/have. :D Oh I'm glad people actually take the time to check my tumblr out! It sure is, the Associates are magical <3

PS. I love the fact that your last loved track is Tell Me Easter's On Friday! :) That song's too amazing for words, I love the Associates immensely. <3

Yeah I agree it's not a look for just about any man, but when it's done well and it suits the person it's absolutely amazing. Exactly, it takes a lot for a woman to be masculine/androgynous and those really aren't the kind of aesthetics that appeal to me. I think women are getting more and more masculine anyways, but I guess I'm the wrong person to say since I live in a place where most of the girls basically look and act like guys :D I would definitely rather be a drag queen than a woman, but it's hard to explain why. I think it's got something to do with wanting to portray femininity in a way a woman can't because femininity is generally linked to women. And I guess my deep love for camp can be blames as well :D Not that drag or androgyny are always campy but they can be.

Exactly :) Ooh I can definitely identify with that. Especially about clothes I wish I could wear forever. True, but I do like Miami Vice-style suits were great too :D I'm jealous about how easy it is for men to look androgynous. I'd have to bring out more masculinity in order to be androgynous and I don't like it. I'm fine with being really feminine but I feel like people think I'm only feminine because I'm a woman, and not because of femininity itself. I don't know if that makes any sense :D But I mean that I'd probably be just as feminine if my biological sex was the opposite, and sometimes I think I could express myself more if I were a man.

Not at all, as you can see I'm definitely not the fastest to reply either! :D Yeah I found a pretty dress on ebay, didn't cost much and it was a perfect fit! It's a black halterneck 50's-style dress with white polkadots :) I would've initially gotten an all-black and classier one but I wouldn't've had any shoes to match and I don't think I would've been able to find a pair either. I'm terribly picky about clothes, shoes and accessories :D Men's fashion was great in the 80s! But I agree it's quite boring nowadays. I'm quite sure I'd dress effeminately even if I was a man though. I love androgyny, and drag!

Exactly! It's good that you won't have to be alone, I'd imagine it would be much tougher on your own. Yeah I wouldn't even dream of travelling around Eastern Europe all by myself! Even going to Sweden alone makes me nervous XD Haha exactly. At the moment I'm really enjoying doing nothing at all because I've finally managed to get all the coursework done and am on holiday now :) Graduation day's next month and I'm desperately seeking for a vintage dress for the occasion. Being picky about clothes makes life so difficult sometimes.

Cool! It'd be great to get to experience what life is like in Russia. I'd love to visit Saint Petersburg one day! Thanks for all the recommendations! :) I think I should start planning an InterRail trip around Eastern Europe :D Probably would be cheaper than travelling around Western Europe. I'm glad that soviet items are so easily found, I can't wait to get my hands on all the wonderful things :D I agree. There's really nothing else to do here but sit alone in your room or something and it definitely makes me feel quite restless sometimes. I really really really can't wait to get out of this country and finally have a life!

Ohhh that's so cool!! I really need to visit some Eastern European country someday! Preferably Poland and Russia. I need to get on with my hobby of collecting cheap (kitschy) Soviet items, I reckon Russian second hand shops are filled with them but I don't know, would have to see for myself. :D I've been fine, although extremely lazy and unproductive as well. I've basically been staying up all night and sleeping all day and when I'm awake I'm too tired to get anything done!

I draw them like that for fun but they look really good on people with strong facial features, like Daniel Ash :) Yeah I know what you mean :D And I agree with that. Yeah that's so true, it's weird how the oddest things can affect the mood of a song. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's noticed it :D Thank you, I really hope they'll turn out okay but if they don't, it's not the end of the world :) Happy Easter btw! How've you been?

These are Spock brows: http://blog.vovici.com/Portals/60483/images//spock.jpg :D That's true. And sometimes it seems like some places will never get more tolerant. Exactly, and it's like people can't even be bothered to find out. Indeed, sometimes the circumstances make you see the bright, happy side of the song, and sometimes it's the exact opposite :P This week has been a Smiths week because I was feeling really down about how one of my exams went, but I'm feeling better now and it's no use sulking when I don't even know the results yet. And the other finals I had this week seemed to go pretty well. I've only got one more to go now. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst regarding the results :D

Yours are perfectly shaped so you've got every reason to like them :) Yeah, even though I'm not totally eyebrowless I like playing with mine and arching them ridiculously high or drawing on Spock brows. Only when I'm alone though :D Yeah comparing to like the middle ages we live in much more tolerant times but there's still loads of room for improvement. That would probably be more likely. It's annoying how some people confuse transvestism with transgenderism, or think that they're the same thing :( That's true, their up-beat songs can make me feel happy but then there's songs that make me quite sad. And it's weird how some songs in general, not just ABBA songs, can sometimes make me blissfully happy on one day and miserably sad on another :D Like Duran Duran's Hungry Like The Wolf, or Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Thank you!! I certainly do hope so :D I'm doing my best and if that's not enough then I guess it just isn't meant to be. :) So far I'm just hoping for the best!

I wouldn't mind having real eyebrows if I could get them into a nice shape and if maintaining them nice and neat wouldn't be such a nuisance. :D Yeah, it's amazing how much intolerance can still be found in this seemingly "modern" society we're supposed to be living in. Yess Peter Pan syndrome for life! <3 I guess you get used to some formal grown-up stuff after a while of doing it, and I like becoming more independent, even though it means more responsibility. Yeah I've seen some pictures of him from like the 90s and he indeed looked quite male, that's why I never would've guessed. I love the way he looked in the 80s nevertheless, though I suppose that could be said about pretty much anyone who was young back then :) Ah yes, Abba's the wind beneath my wings :D They cheer me up whenever I'm feeling low. But I heard from the university of Glasgow this week and apparently if my exam marks reach the expectations, I'll get in! So that really cheered me up a lot and I've basically been

Yeah it's so annoying! Sometimes I wish they'd just stop growing but I know I'd regret that if I ever wanted real eyebrows again :D Right, I never even thought of that job thing! It's so frustrating how one's appearance can get in the way of getting a job. I don't think it's something that should matter, unless it's someone sporting nazi imagery or something like that. I hate to think that I'm even old enough to have to start looking for a job :( Even though I've been waiting to move out of the house and this place and country for years, in a way I feel like I'm not ready for all this grown-up stuff just yet haha. Oh and I'm glad you liked Princess Tinymeat, I love it as well! I didn't know Haa-Lacka Bintii was a transsexual though, that makes it even cooler!

Yeah I'd recommend it! My eyebrows seem to grow quite quickly :D I have to be plucking and waxing them off every week. I'd like to try going completely eyebrowless though and draw them on entirelly, just to see what it'd look like but I don't know, I haven't the courage :D I've got a chubby face and I'm afraid it'd look a bit too harsh on me. Yess I can't wait for all of this to be over and done with, the holidays are more than welcome! Don't know if I'm going to be able to enjoy them though as I really need to get a job. But I'd be in heaven if I got one because then I'd have the money to finally get the hell out of here :D

It was surprisingly long-lasting. Even the lipstick! We had cake and coffee and my lipstick still stayed on. Black lipstick doesn't suit everyone but I think some people can pull it off really well, like you! I still have to try it with different make-up styles so that I can decide whether it looks allright on me or not. I really should start wearing make-up more often whenever I have to leave the house nowadays because I think I look much better with it and it's not always that big of an effort to put just a little bit on. I'm not completely browless, I leave a bit so that it's easier to draw them on, otherwise I could never get them even. Our school year starts in August, but it's only the senior year that ends in March. Normally the school years end in late May or early June. I don't really know why school's out so early for us seniors over here but hey, I'm not complaining XD

Yeah the system's a bit bizarre over here, regular school ends in February and then we just get to stay home most of the time to study for the exams that are held in March. The only time we have to go to school is when we're having classes that prepare us for the exams but they're pretty sparse. Sounds like a nice place! I really should go to Copenhagen someday :D

Winter's okay for the first couple of months, I just don't like the cold. And while I do like snow, we have it WAY too much over here :D In March I start getting really fed up with it, but it's only completely gone in May. Well, at least you don't hate it :D I just know it sounds like a place I'd like, but of course I can only be sure once I go there. I bought four different eyeshadows (deep purple, a magenta-ish purple, smoky dark gray, and black), a black lipstick (initially for my outfit) and two different tones of cake foundations (white and a more neutral one). They're all theatre cosmetics by Grimas so the coverage should be good. I've been really lazy for over a year when it comes to make-up, I rarely can be bothered to do anything else but draw my eyebrows on. I like playing with cosmetics too, but it just gets frustrating when there's nowhere to go :D I wish I lived in a place where putting more effort to my appearance would feel worth it. A cow! That's cute :D
