so my listening habits have been all over the place in the last year. It's weird to me how my tastes have just been … well… more out of my control. I want to compare it to a woman who is pregnant and begins to crave inpossible food combinations. I have gone from 70's pop to progressive metal to blues to 80's wave to vocal trance to now i am hitting a lot of indie "the world is beautiful and we are all friendly" crap. I must be out of my mind….

so first of all..yay for getting last fm to final work with vista ultimate 64-bit edition. You would have thought that simply running it in compatibility mode would do it, but oh no. And hooray for itunes 7.2 for the same reason. so anyway..this topic. my playlist is gonna make me cringe in a few weeks i just know it, but for some reason i have been hitting channels 3,4,&7 on my sirius ( for those of you with out, those are the 70's easy listening stations). man…i just don;t know where it came from but there it is..Barry Manilow.…

What can I say…I like it more than I thought I would. It started with Nightwish a year ago and now I find myself looking for bands with a similar sound to them like Evanesence and Leaves Eyes. Before any purists curl their lips at me…I have pretty specific tastes when it comes to metal, especially having friends who are die hard slayer style metal fans. The vocal goth (and i hate that word) style that the afore metnioned bands have struck a chord with me. If you have any decent suggestions that last.fm isnt providing..drop me a comment.

I know this is a recent development and the forums are all abuzz with theories..I just wanted to say it is annoying and i hope they remedy it soon.

ok. I think an explanation is needed here. My room-mate has his entire collection on our network and I was adding it to my library playlist and apparently it played a few tracks while it was copying. That is not to say I am against metal..just was surprised to see Bolt Thrower on my scrobbled list. =)
