With the year being half complete, I figured it'd be neat to put up how my lists stand so far, after half the year is done. It's always nice to hear what other people have been enjoying, or disliking for that matter, just to give you more time to really think about it. I'd love to hear back from people on personal picks, recommendations, all that fun stuff. My end of the year list will have more entries (hence the odd numbers here), so I've just listed albums that possibly will make the end of the year lists. Anything really mediocre or forgettable just doesn't stand a chance.

Explanation: Overall, I think it's been a pretty week year for albums. Nothing really has stood out so far, though I've really enjoyed the top three. While I love Hissing Fauna…, and would be happy if it ends the year as my #1, I have a feeling second-half releases will take it off the top. Motion City Soundtrack, Say Anything, and most importantly, Radiohead all have big releases scheduled.

Explanation: Thus far, Medicated Kisses is my best new band for 2007, and the EP I thought was a great example of the talent they've got to offer. Paramore better watch out.

Explanation: I can't put it on the list, but A06's self-released album is going to be on my list at the end of the year. Honestly, I absolutely love "Into Shadow Forest", and the rest of the album thus far sounds spectacular. So much to look forward to.
