Leslie Kay is a girl whose heart stays in Europe, even if she, for the most part, stays in the United States (in Kentucky, specifically). She blames her sense of displacement on the strong Finnish heritage bestowed upon her by her immigrant grandparents as well as the massive quantities of non-American literature she has been reading since a very young age. Her musical taste is ridiculously eclectic, though she does tend to like most indie music. However, she makes no promises this site will actually reflect how diverse her taste is, as her iTunes has a tendency to crash, and she's rather lax about setting it up again. One of her favorite parts about visiting her Finnish relatives is catching up on the scene in Scandinavia. She loves introducing relatively unknown artists to people who will enjoy them in turn. As she is transitioning into "real" adulthood, she is gradually learning to budget (which sadly means she is spending less time and money going to shows and buying music). However, she is discovering that good music has a tendency to find her whether she goes looking for it or not.
