Traveler's Blues - American Airlines Versus Vinyl

I'm on vacation in Newport, Rhode Island right now. It's been pretty great, hit up the beach, relaxed a bit, and went to the music store. All and all, I've spent way too much money. This music store is pretty much marketed directly toward tourists- it sells cheap plastic sunglasses and is connected to a god-awful "Life is Good©" t-shirt store. This store, however, sells some very good music, and actually has a good collection of records. This can not be said about Chesapeake, Virginia, my hometown. My brother and I have spent at least 300 United States Dollars in this store in the past two weeks, and have won back $44 in free lottery scratchers. In addition to the eight CDs I have now added to my collection that are going to be hell to transport home, I have also purchased 4 records, and my brother 4 for himself. How on earth am I going to get 8 records through airport security and not have anything happen to them? This is a very troubling time for me. Should I shove them in my laptop bag and hope for the best? Should I just carry them in a plastic bag? I just want my music to get home safely. Well, hopefully everything will turn out okay. This article was more of a rant about the horrible media selection of my area since that one record store in Norfolk closed. Here's to being a compulsive purchasing music junkie.

Also, the records I've bought on vinyl are as follows:
Weezer (Red Album)
Drunken Lullabies
Abbey Road
Yours Truly, Angry Mob
My brother's purchases:
In Rainbows
We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank
Siamese Dream
