    Hello from Germany. ;-)

Well, forming babby and having pragnent are pretty good reasons! Congrats, by the way! How does babby do? And Muffy Cloo's new song is pretty chill, I just wish she hadn't decided to postpone the album AGAIN (it currently has an unknown release date because she feels it isn't ready yet. Which, if it really is artistic integrity, good on her even though I'm impatient, but I can't help but think it's partly because the single only peaked at #15). And I dunno, I think Forever was just too Mel B-oriented overall. I love her, but they should've kept going with albums that showcased ALL their personalities, like I feel Spice and Spice World did (well, Victoria seems to lack an individual personality, so she doesn't count. She's like one of the Pussy Cat Dolls that wasn't Nicole). Plus they could've asked Mary J to rap instead if they wanted a feisty black woman with a raspy voice.

Thoughts on the new MC song? I mean, the actual song, not the stupid hashtag in the title (I guess it helps to get it trending on Twitter or something. What does that even look like ? "##Beautiful"?). I personally like it, even if the "ass like that" and "fucking beautiful" lines seem really unnecessary. It's not like they're Lisa Marie Presley and P!nk and they can make casual swearing sound natural. Song's pretty relaxing, otherwise.

Ah, that's a shame. Ah well, it happens. I can't really talk, I never could get into the Beatles, for crying out loud. But it was odd, after hearing Britney drop the bass about 100 times per minute on Femme Fatale and wondering when she'd cut that shit out, I didn't mind it with Ellie. Or Madonna. (I did like Femme Fatale, it's just that a person could set a stopwatch to those dubstep breakdowns.) Also, did you see the rumored title of Geri's new album? "Putting On the Bling". I hope it has a title track and it's a jazzy torch ballad featuring T-Pain or something.

Ellie! Yes, that's right! You know, she kind of helped me understand the dubstep craze a little. Or at least, Figure 8 did.

I haven't! I should... I guess I just have this thing against unofficial/unreleased albums. I don't know why. They make me feel weird, like the universe is ripping itself inside-out when I try to take them on. Though I suppose I could check out some of the songs. But let's face it, there is nothing in this world, real or imagined, creature, machine, or deity, that could pull the stick from that woman's butt. And I think Mel B's solo career was overall horribly-received. I know her first album did well enough to net a silver cert (I can't remember if it outsold Vic's), but holy SHIT, L.A. State of Mind tanked. I think... it charted at #453, with like 700 copies or so moved. I swear, she must've sacrificed babies to Satan for that to happen or something.

You ever listen to Bridgit Mendler? I kinda got a little hooked on her recently. She's pretty fun! Spunky lass. Might wanna give her a try, she's kind of like if Geri and Natasha bedingfield had a mouthy teenage daughter from New York. Plus, she only has one album out right now, so you'll know where to start! (Unless you want specific song recs.)

Still gotta play Stages, but Mel really is amazingly consistent, not just by Spice Girl standards. And because Victoria's got career obligations or she just don't give a shit? I guess I can see it either way... she seemed to do the solo stuff out of obligation, not out of any actual love of music (sad. I actually like her voice, and her solo album wasn't really that bad. Just generic and corny). I'd easily say the other four at least enjoy music a fair bit - the Mels, obviously (say what you will about Mel B, but I think taking as drastic a change in direction as she did with L.A. State of Mind showed she was at least having a lot of fun). I mainly want Emma to put out a new album so I can finally change out the Life In Mono cover art as the thumbnail of her music folder...

So, I'm finally listening to This Time in full... it's pretty mellow, but I like it. Reminds me of Reason, if Reason took up meditation and aromatherapy. Even the more "intense"-feeling songs, like May Your Heart, feel softer and quieter. I kinda like that, though. Also, Geri's apparently still plugging away on her fourth album, and Mel B's apparently signed a deal for her third album... maybe she'll release it by the next Presidential election...

As for Brandy, Human will be hard to beat. Human, Never Say Never, and Afrodisiac are the reasons I look forward to what she does next (Full Moon was pretty good, but too damn busy half the time. And her debut album bores the shit out of me).

Man... at least she sang with Mel C, though. And Geri, isn't she starting hers back up? Hers was always more novel/campy, to me (the theme indexes for her first two albums, and then Passion just seemed overall corny and campy - but I still liked each album). But it's something. Victoria's was more amusing than anything, and Emma seemed to be trying out stuff and having fun. Same for Mel B - I DID like that L.A. State of Mind, for its faults, went in a really different direction than Hot - and I kind of thought it worked, to a point. I just don't know what sound she really wanted (both albums were consistent in that they both had one track where she wouldn't shut the fuck up talking the whole time), but I love the sound of her voice.

I still need to listen to This Time! (And Stages, but I'm way behind on my musical everything.) But I'm glad the right Spice Girl maintained her music career. I wouldn't mind seeing Emma pop back up (partly so I don't have the Life In Mono cover art as the thumbnail image for her folder in My Music, because I hate that album's cover). And it seems like Mel B was getting somewhere when she screeched to a halt. And your "recently listened" list reminds me, I still gotta play Two Eleven...

I still need to listen to This Time in full. I tried listening to a few tracks, but I tend to forget them after they're done. haven't listened to Beautiful Intentions in forever, either... as for The Sea, I love it. Enemy included. The 8 minutes just works for me, with the dramatics and all. But I'm used to obscenely long tracks, regardless of who makes them. Northern Star and Reason are still great albums, but the feel of this one just stuck to me. Wonder how Stages will turn out, though? Kinda sucks that she's the only one really still making music, but it's not terribly surprising, either...
