Just the theatrics of it haha. Many death metal bands make grandiose albums like Nile, but Fallujah's progressive side reaches toward a film score feel

I listen to loads of techdeath, but not much in the realm of epicness like Fallujah. It really could be the soundtrack to a Lord of the Rings type movie, it's awesome and I need to listen to it again

Yeah Voila is awesome. Guillitine is good but also kinda weird. :D Yup I love No Love. The album is really hard to get into. I don't like all songs.

I love them too, fav. song?

Fallujah was righteous. I don't normally go that route with my metal, but I enjoyed it and I actually thought the deathcore elements helped it a lot

hmmm I'll have to check that out. I didn't give their first album many spins, but I've been looking for something new lately to anesthetize the painful wait for AN and CC

Yeah I need to look into that. I'm back to my old ways man, just like you. Around the time of In the Constellation and Passion I had both those CDs in my car for months on end. Hell is Empty has been my favorite lately. Bloody hell this band is great

Well mate, I can't help you with either of those haha I'm literally to the point now of checking their facebook every break and lunch while at work just to see if there's news yet.

I'm surprisingly okay with it too. I'm a big sludge fan and my favorite Mastodon album is Leviathan, yet Once More has some nice poppy stuffy I love, like The Motherload. They definitely have change quite a bit over the years while still sounding like Mastodon

I definitely plan on buying it, although this week it was a choice between that and Mastodon, which I bought and am thoroughly enjoying. I was disappointed with The Hunter compared to their earlier works, so this is a nice return so far

Thoughts on Titan? I really want to buy it but all the releases since April have worn my budget a bit thin

Om mig

READ THIS FIRST (IMPORTANT): Give me a shout before adding me to your friends, or there's no way you'll be added. If I don't get a shout before friend request, I can only assume one of the two things: either you don't understand english well enough to comprehend what I'm writing right here, in which case we don't really have too much to speak about, do we? Other scenario is that I have to assume you're too lazy of a cunt to even read THIS much text, in which case I probably loathe you anyway and have no real need for discussion.
ESPECIALLY send me some message, if I don't know you from anywhere (forums, events etc). I am however always (well, not always, but often) eager to talk to with likeminded people from all the corners of the earth, with all kinds of cool ideas.

♫ = life, as is stated in my signature.

I am fairly introverted and well, I now have to admit, it does make my life quite hard sometimes. But I just don't really care for the company of most people and I like my tunes better than speaking to some jerkoff about their stupid, uneducated opinion about anything that is of actual importance, about their opinons about anything trivial or whatever else. I'm surronded by idiots most of the time, and I don't exclude myself from that group. I, too, suck most of the time.
Anyways, music is my best friend and my first love. With that said however, those I consider to be my friends I value really highly. There's not a lot of those people, but I find that the rarity of true friends only makes the ones you have so much more important to you.

I play videogames, vape, drink fine beers and wine and well, listen and explore new and good music. I tend to get hung-up on artists for some while, but I always try to expand my taste. I don't think however I'll be able to fully explore any genre but metal too comprehensively until I'm in 30's or 40's haha. Well, I suppose it's more than likely that I'll be much more easygoing then, so perhaps some other style of music will start speaking to me then.

I DO NOT support any kind of nazism, bigotry nor anything like that, even if I listen to bands, that might support them or even endorse their ideas. I support equality of men and oppose those who try to control people with stupid ideologies of intolerance. Your race (don't ya just hate that word - it makes it sound like we're speaking about humans and lobsters heh) or anything else of the trivial nature does not matter to me. So, as Napalm Death (and before them, Dead Kennedys) put it: Nazi Punks Fuck Off.

I'm what you'd call a freethinker, as I don't necessarily want to be labeled as an atheist, thanks to growing number of morons that use that title. My personal opinion (or rather, view) about the existence of God, or gods is however that he or they do not exist. No christian god, no Zeus, no Thor, no Osiris, not anything. There is no divinity, no afterlife and certainly nothing that allows religious people to tell me what is morally correct.
I'm strongly opposed to most organized religions, as I view them harmful to thought and in some cases, to life. However, if you wish to worship in peace, I won't be one of those dickheads who push their own views to other people. That's for the anti-abortion assholes and what ever else kind of biggotrous, religious vermin have we.
I would however want to leave my profile free of bickering about these matters, I don't actually really care about all this nonsense about religion one way or another. (Atheists are sometimes just as fucking awful as the christians, jews and muslims - I won't deny that). This is just something I feel I have to put here, so there will be no discussing these matters with each individual nor there will be any misconceptions about me. My opinions are solely based on facts (as I know them) and my view of the world. I don't follow anyone blindly, nor should anyone else.

I'm also an animal-lover. Animals > humans, in most cases. I don't really care for insects or any of those fish who swim up your dick so it has to be amputated, but you know.

However, most importantly, I'm a music enthusiast and I enjoy variety of genres, but closest to my heart shall always be metal in it's more extreme forms. I listen to a lot of different stuff, so musically (as well, I suppose), I'm quite the libertarian. I might as well be listening to Aborted first, followed by Funkadelic, followed by Mozart, followed by Irene Cara etc...
In music there is of course, as in all, somethings I don't like. I enjoy very few rap, (new) R'n'B, techno etc-artists. I am not at all in touch with contemporary popular music ie. I have no idea what's the big thing "kids" are listening to now. For example, I first heard "Baby" over a year after it was released and I have no idea what's the new artist everybody's hyping at the moment. I suppose I'm a grumpy old man, heh

I'd also like to add that almost all popular music in the last... 20 or so years is total fucking abominable dogshit. No, I'm sorry but even tolerance has it's limits. I'm not even going to pretend all music is equally worthy. For example, I don't really listen to all too much old school jazz, but I have only the utmost respect for it and those who enjoy and perform it. I don't have at all respect for talentless whores like Nicki Minaj and what have we. I reserve my respect for true artists, who's vision is guided by love of music, not greed. Music business can go fuck itself.
And herpderp, I realize metal and rock and whatever I listen to could be considered popular music, but that's not what I mean. My definition of popular music is not the most puritan.

I am a huge fan(atic) of the british extreme metal band, Anaal Nathrakh. I adore them to death. They speak to me, both musically and in a sort of intellectual way, so profoundly that it's just uncanny.
If I'd have a hero, it would be David Hunt. He's too fucking excellent for words.

For a long time I was kinda disillusioned to listening to new stuff, but thanks to a lot of cool new bands I've been listening to lately, I'm once again the inquisitive seeker of the tunes, I once was. Feel free to check out my charts and recommend me something, you think I might like. And in the intrest of reciprocity, you can always ask for recommedations from me as well. Well, I couldn't really recommend anything outside of metal, since most stuff that's even remotely obscure that I know is metal.

I'm also a reader. Ah, what a lost enjoyment for most, it seems. I'm always reading multiple books at the same time, so it takes me ages to finish one. At the moment, I think I have 6 or so books underway.

I suppose all this informationspilling is my way of doing some self-therapy. Diaries are gay, writing this isn't, how's that for wicked irony or the sort?

Luckily enough, I am in fact free. If you recognize the shackles your society is trying to prison you with, you can avoid them. Being an "outcast" is de facto a blessing, not a curse as some of those who live on the outside think.
