Since I didn't own a NES, I used to walk to my cousin's place just to play Guardian Legend. Spent several hours playing it. Loved the music too. :)

Wow, tough question. Very hard to pick, like you said, i like them all! but i think my personal order is: Ghost Reveries, Blackwater Park, Still Life, Morningrise, Deliverance, Damnation, Orchid, Watershed and My Arms, Your Hearse. I soooo wanted to see them live, they came to Brazil twice already, but the first time i didnt know them yet (they were touring with Evergrey and i went to Evergrey concert :(((( ), and the second time i didnt have money to travel and see them =/ but i will most certainly watch them live asap, from all i've seen in vids and fan response, they're superb :D cheers!

I suppose I'm influenced by the fact that I saw them live few days ago :)

Novembre may take a bit to get used to, but if you love atmospheric intense rock with really great vocals, then they may be for you. Get Materia ASAP, then Novembrine Waltz, then the rest honestly. The Blue is also great but probably the last you should listen to from them... all are good in their own way.

Thanks :) . Just a very random question, but have you seen any of your favourite bands live?

thanks mate! still life is one of my all-time favourites too ;] and i also agree about Lopez. I mean, sure, Axenrot is fine, but he doesn't have all the jazzy-bluesy-BOOMONYOURFACE drumming as Lopez did. and btw, i'd say my favorite album from the is ghost reveries, actually. i play the drums, and the song which i most wanna learn to play is Reverie/Harlequin Forest. cheers!

Colony and Whoracle, I'd say. (Despite what my charts indicate. My taste tends to change quickly... :P)

You know, even as someone who do like their new stuff (...like I've previously mentioned), I'll have to agree with you. I'm definitely wanting them to make another more intense album, preferably in the style of Whoracle (<3). Or Colony... Or a completely new style, just as long as it has the intenseness of those albums. But yeah, probably ain't gonna happen. Or perhaps it will, just to make people stop whining. Who knows? I don't, that's for sure. But there's always SOME hope, is there not? Yeah yeah, whatever. Only time will tell.

Thanks. I rank Frances the Mute highly, too, though. That one is difficult and has some wankery on it, but overall it's worth it. Anyways, your charts remind me of two bands I need to check out: Cynic and Porcupine Tree.

Thanks. Also, well... I have over 400 Opeth plays as of now (and that's only counting when I'm using the PC...). Not that much, indeed, but I could still be considered new to them (Started listening to them towards the end of 2008, I think). Might be one of the bands I won't stop listening to for years, actually. So yeah. As for In Flames: That's the usual attitude towards them. Personally I love pretty much all the stuff they've made (even A Sense of Purpose!). I'm even starting to like their first album now, which I used to hate because it didn't have Anders... Silly me. Oh, but indeed, that one EP (with Everdying, etc.) didn't have Anders on vocals either. But yeah, I prefered the vocalist they had on that. Oh, and one last thing: Which are your favorite Opeth albums? Mine are Still Life and Ghost Reveries.
