8 songs into the first set I was bounced for elbowing some punk twerp in the throat. It was worth it! Nuff Said!

Sun 15 Jun – Toad the Wet Sprocket

Toad did a really good show at the Norva this time! The band was energetic, and enthusiastic and it was a good time. They did almost every fan favorite and did them well. I really did miss the cowbell though…

Good concert and they have redeemed themselves in my eyes. I will definitely recommend them and would see them again should they tour!

"PLAY FREE BIRD!!"

Went to the Norva. Saw Spoon. BORING hippy band. Nice bass lines and talented, but after an hour is was way too repetitive. Overall a dull performance with almost no stage presence, and they used this lame reverb effect on most of their songs that just put it over the top into "Sucko-land"

Maybe it was just a was out of uniform as I left my converse shoes and checkered collared circa 1955 shirt at home this day.

Anyhow if you like "Spoon" stick to their studio stuff - it is WAY better than the "live" act.

Weather was PERFECT for an amphitheater show.

One of the best concerts I have seen in some time. It really took me back to the late 80's on that one…Sound check for Ratt and Poison were both great. Thu 7 Jun – Tool, Melt-Banana

Awesome concert but sound check was WAY off. It was less the venue and more a crappy sound board crew.

Tool was awesome. Would have liked more vocals (partly sound check issues) and less experimentation, but that is Tool, so it's all good.

Melt Banana now takes my award for the ABSOLUTELY SHITTIEST BAND EVER! It was friggin awful. Some chick that was obviously a product of post Hiroshima breeding project (had to be 6' tall) screaming in Japanese. PURE crap. As a purist I can at least appreciate the purity of bad rock…
