Fri 25 Jul – Thao with The Get Down Stay Down, Tune-Yards
I asked Thao to autograph my shirt and she went out of her way to do so, personalizing it and everything. Plus, she's beautiful. Cute outfit. Her love for music and performance is really reflected in the way she rocks out on stage. Additionally, she was quite funny on the mike in between songs, making the crowd laugh about things such as her bra strap. For more details, ask someone who went :P. I am now a Thao fan, through and through.

It's been stated already, but the venue management SUCKED. Waiting in line in the cloudy cold weather for two hours is not the best way to start off a concert. the pros: fantastic voice, great stage presence, boombox duet with Only Son(?)showcased both artists talents exceptionally.

the cons: Regina's abusive comments to the rowdy fans in front. The first "shut the fuck up" was probably warranted, but the subsequent one, as well as the comment about taking a walk in SLC were a HUGE turn off to me. Mon 22 Oct – Aesop Rock, Blockhead, Black Moth Super Rainbow, DJ Signify

This is my first time seeing Aesop and my second underground show, so be patient :) Blockhead really set the tone for Aesop with his edgy beats, which makes sense seeing as he produced 7 of the tracks on "None Shall Pass". I first heard The Silversun Pickups "Lazy Eye" on 94.7 FM in Portland and liked Brian Aubert's husky voice immediately.
