What a grand mix of heavy metal and shit you have there.

Props for: P.O.D. - Sleeping Awake Trivium - Like Light to the Flies Disturbed - Shout 2000 Static-X - The Only Mudvayne - Fall Into Sleep SOAD - Aerials Now for the bad stuff: Evanescence - Tourniquet - Horribly cliche pop rock dressed up as metal/goth. This song in particular is terribly cookie-cutter Linkin Park - Breaking the Habit - LP's 1st attempt at a truly new sound showed how limited their breadth is Nightwish - The Carpenter - Nightwish's vocals are just way too operatic for me in most of their songs Again, this is just my opinion. Enjoy!
What a grand mix of heavy metal and shit you have there.
And I don't give a fuck if someone says it's shit - I like what I like, that's all.
Again, this is just my opinion.
And this is the kind of normal criticism - thanks for opninion.

I only agree with Revolution Deathsquad, some of the others are OK but not worthy of such a list imo. I think i might make a similar list soon, quite nice idea.

Maybe if I had divided list into 'metal' and 'nu/others' parts, thr00 metalheads would stop yappin XD Thanks for comments :)

Yes... for The Agony Scene it would be the same... But tell me - what kind of metal principals Trivium is not meeting? O_o Look at the Gojira page, when Trivium was on a tour with Gojira... Epic yapping it was, I'd say XD XD :*

Yes, I'm so tr00, look at me. Man, I don't give a shit if a band is true metal or whatever, all I was saying is that those other bands you listed are shit, that's all. You know, an opinion? Stop being a whiny cunt. If you think I'm yapping, you really have no idea what it is. As for Trivium, all they do is follow the current trend. They rode the metalcore wave, even if they weren't actual metalcore, and now they're just a clone of Metallica 20 years ago. Why you would listen to something that has been around in a much better form for two decades?

If you're not tr00 then I'm sorry - but I've got long relationship with this kind of metalheads, and you started discussion in the same method as them. But if you just think that some bands of my choice are shit, it's your opinion then - anyone likes what he likes, that's all. At first I'm listening mainly to Trivium from it's metalcore era - music just fits my taste (but metalcore as you can see from the stats isn't my favourite kind of metal). And you've got point - now they are playing just like Metallica... And it's not good. Probably just riding on popularity of this band and using the hype over upcoming Metallica album - and yes, it really pisses me off. And it just don't fit them. If it would - it would be good, but it's not.

Yeah, Wintersun is amazing - can't wait for the new album. About taste... You know, in my short, 21 year long life, I'm listening to metal about... 15 years now, I think. About 5 years ago, I've been still into bands like Mayhem, Cannibal Corpse, polish underground black/death and other of this kind. And it's probably just due to time spent with metal - I've listenened to many kinds of it, for a long time. Other thing is that I just like 'lighter' music too, as well as hard. Some time ago I couldn't even listen to things with melody, now it's dominating in my charts. Think it's normal taste evolution. And there are many other bands I listen to, without Last.Fm, like polish rock/alternative bands, a bit of electronic music, anime soundtracks. Or it's maybe just aging, though XD And yes - Linkin Park, seriously. Easy to listen, nice and pure fun. Just good.

There's soft metal too. Green Carnation, Evergrey, Opeth, and countless more. Not saying to limit yourself to metal, but still.
Sorry to break your bubble but you are the one coming to whine at Gveir's musical taste and telling him how much some of his favorite bands and songs suck... completely failing telling him why so. Makes you rather look like the idiot, not him. You look like yet-another-attention-whore trolling other people's shoutboxes etc just because you can. I tell you what? Whatever you say will not change what we listen to, end of story. Neither will you never get the sort of reaction you truly are after.
