Whoa I didn't know him and Melody were dating, that's awesome. Melody's album was really great. I haven't heard Broadcast yet though.

Yeah, I have 4 Prunes albums as a matter a fact. Neo Psych can be cool, but I don't care much for the stuff full of reverb, I do like things like Tame Impala, Animal Collective, Olivia Tremor Control though.

I made a list a while back of my favorite albums from the late 60's, have a look if you wanna see anything that looks neat to you. http://i.imgur.com/2k4Zd.jpg also, did you want me to upload all the other Love albums?

Along with what I mentioned in the thread? Check out Moby Grape, The Beau Brummels, Sopwith Camel, and maybe Grateful Dead, mainly their first album.

Let me know what you think, man. Also, definitely check out the album The Ruminant Band by Fruit Bats. It's amazing.

Oh, and definitely try out Man Man. I've met the lead singer when he was on his side project Mister Heavenly (also good if you wanna try modern heavy doo-wop, it's awesome), and he's an awesome fucker. His main band Man Man will be in my city next month, and I can't wait. Try their albums Rabbit Habits and Six Demon Bag. The best way to describe them is if Tom Waits got stoned and hyper off caffeine and sang catchy Doo Wop and sad ballads while the band destroys shit in rhythm. I know that sounds abrasive, but it actually works together in an extremely catchy way.

time in decades. I've seen them live more than any band, and they always impress. I took some friends with me and they said it was one of the best concerts they've been to, and they weren't even that into them before. Also, have you ever listened to Sufjan Stevens? If not, you really should. I know you'd love the guy. Check out his album Illinois first, which is just amazing on every level, and then The Age of Adz, which is a mix of orchestral and electronic music. If you like Illinois more, then look into Michigan, and if you prefer Adz, get his album Enjoy Your Rabbit!, which is entirely electronic music.

Yeah, I prefer the cold and grey clouds, too, but I prefer a dry cold, like up north, or when I was in Europe. I'm pretty sure Germany's the most beautiful place to be in Fall in the whole world, at least from personal experience. I've seen the pics of you riding the hill by the ocean on Goodreads, and that looks amazing. I'm planning to go to Australia one of these years. My next trip is living on a ship for two weeks from Louisiana towards Barbados, which should be awesome. I still prefer Yoshimi Verses the Pink Robots, but the Soft Bulletin is pretty fuckin' good, and I've exhausted Yoshimi. I'm glad you liked it. Pretty much every song is depressing, but it's really upbeat music (mostly). It's like my favorite band, They Might Be Giants. Most of their lyrics are really bizarre, dark, surreal or depressing, and they're so catchy that you just never pick up on it unless you really look. Actually, if you want a really good (and funny) concert, they'll be in Australia for the first

Yeah man, that's awesome. I live in North Florida, so it's pretty flat; no fun hills to rush. I checked out your videos: awesome shit. I saw the one where you guys got kicked out of a school and someone got shoved? What the fuck was that about? The past few days have been warm; like, in the 80's, just like Spring, but today is dropped down to 40. Don't believe that shit about Florida being the 'Sunshine State'. It's the biggest misnomer ever. It's gets fucking cold here, and it's always humid, so it cuts to the bone. And it's cloudy often. At least it was nice for a few days, I should have rode my board around the beach some. Any chance you checked out that album? I've been listening to quite a bit of the shit you gave me, plus this band called Powersolo that I found recently. I also just got Phantogram after I heard a song in one of your videos. And I've been getting back into Flaming Lips, always a good thing. Haven't been reading though. I'm full of shame.

I don't know any tricks. I tried to learn back in the late 90's/early 2000's, but I just couldn't even figure out an ollie or anything. I eventually gave up because I was tired of busting my ass. Pretty much everyone my age where I live has a gravity board. It's convenient as hell to get around all the school campuses and around the beach. Two years ago, my friend, the one I play music with actually, and I would take our guitars and gravity boards to a park by the beach. We'd play music for a while, get stoned, write songs, drink. People would ask to hear our songs, so that was always fun. And if we got tired, we'd walk to the water and go swimming, or ride our boards around. Good times.

By the way, man. You should really give Beulah's album 'The Coast Is Never Clear' a listen if you never have. A lot of the music is really upbeat while the lyrics are kinda depressing, a style I really like. There's a lot of musical variations per song, tons of instrumentation, and it's my favorite by them. I've spent many days riding my gravity board or driving my truck around the beaches with that as my soundtrack. Plus, it's readily found as a free alternative, nudge nudge say-no-more.

is pretty self obsessed and a douche. I love the guy's music, but if he's an asshole, then he's an asshole, and attempted modesty and shit doesn't fly when everything thinks you're an ass. The Information, on the other hand, was phenomenal, and though I don't listen to it as much, holds a lot of nostalgia for me. I remember the days when I got Mellow Gold, The Information, and Mutations. That's pretty strong impressions on a persons memory. I think I burned through The Information ALMOST as much as when I first got Mellow Gold the first few days I got it. So, yeah, In summary: Beck's Awesome.

Mutations is great, and I like it more than Sea Change. They're both low-key, and both depressing albums. I love the seemingly drug-fueled, sex-obsessed moving-and-groovin' feel of Midnite Vultures and the Modern Hip-Hop heartbeat with old-school folk and abstract surreal lyrics of Odelay. Mellow Gold is also great. It's this weird black hole of music that sucks you in and fucks with your mind, a great example of organized chaos. Guero is cool, too, but half of the album is amazing and the second half is just missing the target slightly for me. Maybe it feels too polished for me, because I like how his music really is just organized chaos. Also, I only liked half of Modern Guilt. Danger Mouse and Beck together sounds like musical ecstasy on paper, but they're so different that it was pretty hit or miss. It also sounded hypocritical, because a lot of the lyrics were all 'How can the world suffer so much and I be so successful?', when so many people have gone on record to say that Beck

Well shit. Looks like I've got some downloading to do. I hate to admit it, but I'm pretty sure Sea Change is my least favorite Beck album even though it has some of my favorite songs by the guy (I guess that works out, right?)--Lost Cause, The Golden Age, Guess I'm Doing Fine, stuff like that. I've gotta be in the mood for it. Now Midnite Vultures and Odelay, on the other hand, are fuckin' amazing albums. I went through a huge Beck phase, and he's still a favorite of mine, and Midnite Vultures is just great from beginning to end.
